Lu Anne Henderson was a beautiful 15-year-old girl in Denver in 1945 when she met Neal Cassady, a fast-talking hurricane of male sexuality and vast promises. The two married, and soon they were hanging out with a group of young would-be writers, including Jack Kerouac and Allen Ginsberg. But Neal and Jack initially didn’t like each other very much.

My story is rooted in personal and professional development and this first installment represents a small sample of topics, which have had relevance during my career but also help the listeners better understand who I am as a person and professional. This is the first installment of the book, and I have additional books planned, which will delve into a variety of topics I experienced as a teacher. My hope is that others will process the information not as a how-to guide but rather as an opportunity to gain insight into the profession as well as my unique perspective.
