Dime novels, so named for their cost over 150 years ago, thrilled readers who devoured to learn of the fantastical adventures of western heroes. Often these stories contained a measured hero, a cowboy, Indians, and gun violence. Truth and justice inevitably triumphed. This formula of western heroes further captured the public imagination when translated to film. Prolific western maven Thomas F. This collection of Kent Kamron's frontier tales is the fourth in a series of adventures set in the Old West, circa 1850-1900. An overall theme of these stories is the outcome of justice or the lack of it. Robberies and holdups sometimes go bad, a black marshal hunts down killers in Oklahoma, Indian justice prevails, and real fighters like Jesse James and General Custer play their roles.
