Devastated by the loss of her older brother to cancer, Bugz returns to the place where she can always find solace and strength: the Floraverse. Over the past year, she has regained her position of power in that virtual world, and while the remaining Clan:LESS members still plot against her, she is easily able to overcome their attacks. Even better, she's been secretly working on a bot that will be both an incredible weapon and a source of comfort: Waawaate.

Can a dog turn into a vampire if it bites a vampire? Loyal Rez dog Gertrude saves her human Doreen from becoming a Missing and Murdered Indigenous Woman statistic. Doreen starts to think her neighbor was more than a creep, when Gertrude develops an allergy to sunlight and starts to crave raw meat, the bloodier the better. Will she have to put her loyal companion down?

In this post-apocalyptic world, snow, ice, and death prevail. The remnants of humanity have survived by relearning ancient ways. Some villages cooperate with each other, but there are tribes which have turned to murder and theft to ensure their own success. Three orphaned friends wander alone through this precarious world. Teek, Lance, and Kateesh have all suffered traumatic losses which shattered their faith in their fellow human beings. They are sure that they can count on each other, but that certitude is shaken when violence rages into their lives once again.
