لقد تركني الجميع... أفلتوا يدي، لا أتذكر مستثنى ليستثنى منهم..حتى الحبل الذي كنت أتعلق به في السماء أفلتُّه... سقطت في المقابر بين الموتى !! وحين عدت للحياة أصبحت ميتًا وسط الأحياء. زرت الحانات حتى أصبحت سكناي وكنت ألملم قطرات الخمر، كان صدى أصواتهم يلاحقني: عليك اللعنة يا زغفري... وكنت أقول لنفسي : مت أيها الفتى لعلك تحيا!! لكن ماذا أفعل بنفسي فنحن نستطيع أن نتجاوز الأشخاص ولكننا لا نستطيع أن نتجاوز المواقع التي خضنا بها معاركنا، نتعثر بالجروح التي أورثتناها الحروب والآلام لا تغادرنا مطلقا.

प्रेम आणि राग या दोन्ही प्रवृत्ती जागृत करणारी ही एक सशक्त कलाकृती आहे.

عندما تسمع بكلمة (البطريركية) فما الذي يخطر ببالك؟ قسٌّ أو راهب؟ مبنى عملاق بنقوش ذهبية؟ جميعنا كذلك فهذه الكلمة بالأصل لو انتقلنا إلى ترجمتها الحرفية سنجدها تعني الأب الرئيس أمّا من حيث المعنى فهي تُشير إلى ذلك النظام المعتمد على سلطة الأب وفي المسيحية فهي تمثل مكان اقامة ومكتب رئيس الأساقفة لذا لا تُذهل عندما تخبرك هذه الرواية ب: " أمّا البطريركية نفسها فكانت عبارة عن هنجر حديدي عملاق، تحيط به حظائر مسورة بشباك معدنية، تقبع داخلها مانيكانات نسائية من خشب...!! سنتدرب أمام تلك المانيكانات المستسلمة حينما تبدأ فترة تمريننا !!

بين الكينونة والعدم مسافةٌ تُقطع في اتجاهين وليس كلّ شخصٍ بقادرٍ على قطعها في الاتجاه الصحيح فما بالك وضبابية الرؤية واقعه اليومي !! حياةٌ رتيبة كئيبة تحياها الشابة "منيرة" وإذ لا تجد لها من طعمٍ أو لونٍ أو رائحة تهرب إلى دعة المهدّئات أولًا وإلى ألق المخدّرات لاحقًأ لتسكن فقاعةً من الوهم سرعان ما ستنفجر مفجّرةً معها ينبوع دماء سالت من وريد البنت بغزارة. أحقًا حاولت منيرة الانتحار؟! وهي نفسها لا تعلم ولكي تجيب بالنفي أو بالتأكيد كان لا بدَّ لها من خوض رحلة باتجاه الذات نقلتها مكانيًا من بلدٍ إلى آخر وطوّحت بها زمانيًا فإذا هي الماضي المعتم والحاضر الشاقّ والمستقبل المجهول في آنٍ...
