Lucas, a musician living in Barcelona, receives a cryptic invitation. When he appears at the appointed time, he sets in motion a series of bizarre events that disrupt his passive existence. He meets the alluring Nuria and they begin a love affair. He is approached by a band of mythic roof dwellers and has a run-in with a fire-eating prophet. But when he and Nuria are kidnapped by a religious cult with roots stretching back to the 13th century, Lucas realizes that his life is spinning out of control.

Raymond Riley was looking for a job and a place to stay when he arrives in the town of Monroe. He stumbles upon a mysterious old house when he finds something that he never expected. It isn't long before Raymond is thrown into the middle of a plot for a series of ritualistic murders, which will change his life forever.

Religion, cults, brainwashing, and pyramid schemes are just a few terms that one could use in a debate about cults. The term cult first originated from a religious source, and this may have not been a bad thing. The Jewish religion is still a strong mainstream religious cult, no pun intended, as it was in biblical times. This allows us to associate today's cults with the very first cult ever documented.
