Lotte Reiniger (1899-1981) was a German film director and animator best known for The Adventures of Prince Achmed, which was released in 1926 and is the oldest surviving animated movie. ウィリアム・シェイクスピアの戯曲「マクベス」をベースにした戦国ドラマ仕立てのタイトルです。主人公の松永久秀は少し勇猛なごく普通の戦国武将、そんな彼がちょっとした誘惑がもとで、坂道を転がり落ちるように、暗く壮絶な結末へと誘われていきます。スピーディーでドラマチックな展開の本作は是非お勧めです。
