Владимир Маяковский родился в Грузии, учился в гимназии в Кутаиси, затем в Москве, куда после смерти отца переехал вместе со всей семьей. В 1908 г. оставил гимназию, занявшись революционной подпольной работой. С 1911 г. занимался в Московском училище живописи, ваяния и зодчества.

Роман "Дубровский" был написан Пушкиным удивительно быстро. В октябре 1832 года начата первая глава, а уже в феврале 1833 года Пушкин завершает работу на девятнадцатой главой произведения. Но в печать роман Пушкин не отдает, и книга увидела свет лишь в 1841 году в посмертном издании сочинений писателя.
