Before Gene Roddenberry and George Lucas, the pulp-science-fiction writers of the 1950s and 1960s were writing some of the hippest genre literature of the era. This is the dramatic and inspirational first-person story of theoretical physicist Dr. Ronald Mallett, who recently discovered the basic equations for a working time machine that he believes can be used as a transport vehicle to the past. If anyone were ever to forget that magic can disrupt science and technological equipment, they need only refer to the incident at Mobile Mining Station YF-77.
