Study Bible Commentary

The book, Fifty Bible Devotionals, is a book described by its title. The author has been active for over 40 years in teaching and preaching from God's word. It has become his close companion over those years, as he daily takes the time around 5:00 AM to read and study its pages. Each one is built upon a passage of scripture that can be applied to our daily lives. They can also be used as the subject or topic for a bible study as well as the jumping-off point for sermons.

Over the years, I have observed the different trends that occur among people who are non-believers in God and also among those who are believers but who for some reason, have become angry with the God they have previously embraced. It has to do with tragedies they witness or experience in life. You can hear them making comments to the effect of: "How could God allow such tragedies and atrocities to occur in this world, when the Bible says he is a loving God?"

Billions of people across the world and across time have followed the words of this ancient book. Countless numbers have died defending it. Even today, in the 21st century heated debates are fought every day over the truth which lies within. Great thinkers and intellectuals have seen something of pure wisdom and truth in it and others simply see it as an historical document, written by people from a different time and place.

Sorrow is a familiar companion of every Christian. But for those who rest confidently in the good and perfect purposes of God, there exists an inexplicable, subjective awareness of God's all-sufficient grace - a tranquil peace impervious to circumstances that flows from the fountain of His covenantal love for those he has redeemed. The purpose of this little volume is to help believers develop a deeper understanding of this dynamic force of divine resources, one that transforms all believers at the moment of salvation and empowers them in every aspect of their life in Christ.

This is a collection of my LDS warning publications. Obviously these are the latter-days and that times are going to get tough, but there will come a severe testing that will be so bad that there will be a great division of the LDS Church. This book goes over all the issues, but includes ways out or ways to endure the upcoming danger. This book is not meant to scare members, instead it is meant to inform, so that members can prepare and be prepared like the five wise virgins from Jesus' parables.

An extension of book one, Volume 2 of Making Time for God has more but uniquely different teachings and wisdom commentary on the subject of God, and Jesus. Read unique situations and what outlook to have when in one of these situations, like in real life. Jon will certainly teach and not preach from the pages of this book.

We are all prone to debilitating physical and spiritual weakness. But knowing how to find spiritual strength in those seasons of weakness - especially in the face of persecution - is elusive for most. Timothy, the apostle Paul's son in the faith, struggled with this very thing.
