The Presence of Conflict is a sequel to my first novel, The Presence of Justice. My protagonist, Andy Hanson, has graduated from West Point Military Academy, Ranger School, and Escape and Evasion School. The book starts as he is landing at his Forward Operating Base in Afghanistan, and ends when his tour is cut short because of injuries sustained in battle.
