In 1967, Roger Patterson and Robert Gimlin stunned the world with film footage (Patterson Gimlin Film or PGF) of what appears to be a large, bipedal, primate walking in a river bed in Bluff Creek, a tributary of the Klamath River, about 25 miles northwest of Orleans, in Humboldt County, California.
