内容紹介
月明かりの綺麗な冬の夜、見張り中の警官が不気味な男を目撃する。
その男は青銅色の機械の体に三日月形の大きな口で笑っている顔をしていた。
線路を歩く男のポケットから垂れ下がる無数の懐中時計。
この男こそ後に世間を騒がせる、時計泥棒の青銅の魔人であった。
珍しい懐中時計を父が所持している昌一少年は魔人の噂を聞きつけ、明智探偵の元を訪れた。
魔人対策に一計を案じる明智探偵は、一人で昌一少年の家へ赴く。
その頃別行動していた小林少年は、上野公園で寝泊まりしている浮浪少年たちを集め新たな探偵団を作っていた。
その名は「少年探偵団・チンピラ別動隊」
そして昌一少年宅に現れる青銅の魔人。
逃げた魔人を追いかける小林少年とチンピラ別動隊。
魔人を追い詰めたかと思われたが、今度は小林少年が姿を消した。
一体どこへ消えてしまったのだろうか？
そして青銅の魔人の正体とは？
謎が謎を呼ぶ不気味なこの事件、明智探偵の推理と新たに結成したチンピラ別動隊の活躍が事件の真実に光を当てる。

日本の推理小説家。1894年10月21日生まれ、三重県生まれ。筆名は、19世紀の米国の小説家エドガー・アラン・ポーに由来する。数々の職業遍歴を経て作家デビューを果たす。本格的な推理小説と並行して『怪人二十面相』、『少年探偵団』などの少年向けの推理小説なども多数手がける。代表作は『人間椅子』、『黒蜥蜴』、『陰獣』など。1954年には乱歩の寄付を基金として、後進の推理小説作家育成のための「江戸川乱歩賞」が創設された。©2021 PanRolling
