About this listen

The author of the #1 New York Times bestseller Think Like a Monk offers a revelatory guide to every stage of romance, drawing on ancient wisdom and new science.

Nobody sits us down and teaches us how to love. So we’re often thrown into relationships with nothing but romance movies and pop culture to help us muddle through. Until now.

Instead of presenting love as an ethereal concept or a collection of cliches, Jay Shetty lays out specific, actionable steps to help you develop the skills to practice and nurture love better than ever before. He shares insights on how to win or lose together, how to define love, and why you don’t break in a break-up. Inspired by Vedic wisdom and modern science, he tackles the entire relationship cycle, from first dates to moving in together to breaking up and starting over. And he shows us how to avoid falling for false promises and unfulfilling partners.

By living Jay Shetty’s eight rules, we can all love ourselves, our partner, and the world better than we ever thought possible.

Inspiring

There were a lot of golden nuggets of thoughts. I would have to buy the book and definitely highlight those advices and food for thought, then implement.

Enjoyed some parts

I enjoyed Think like a Monk and felt like this book while it touched good points about love in relationships and love in general was vague and was more like short stories put together.

Love this book about Love

Jay is such a great story teller, and his information is backed by research and wisdom. I loved his first book, Think Like a Monk, and figured I should read this one too. It did not disappoint! I'm happily married so I wasn't sure at first if this book would apply to me, but it did and I learned so much on ways to improve my relationships with others as well as myself.
I'm a graduate of a Jay's life coaching school and continue to learn and be inspired by Jay through everything he does. I saw him live last night in Philadelphia promoting this book and what he gives to others is so beautiful and genuine. You feel inspired and ready to conquer the world.
This book is a must read/listen and I give it a glowing 5 star review! It doesn't matter if you're single, married, dating, or anything in between, you can learn so much from this book.
Thanks Jay for all that you do!

Unlearning to Love

I would recommend this book to my siblings. We have been taught that love certain ways. This book has really opened my mind to the possibilities of how we can love better.

Good Lessons

I appreciated the examples of other people’s relationships and experiences reflecting to the lessons he expressed. I was excited to grab this book and begin but after listening to the audiobook there will be times I would have to pause and not continue because it was very monotone. It lost my interest. Some areas of the chapters were repetitive & lost my attention quickly.

Don’t get it confused it’s not a trick

This book was amazing. It gives us tools to grow it’s not about having tricks to make the person stay. It’s about knowing how to love throughout life itself.
