Publisher's summary

Social situations can induce fear, worry, stress, and anxiety.

We’ve all been in situations where we don’t want to socialize. However, for some of us, we don’t want to speak with people because it overwhelms us and causes us anxiety. Be it a boss, a person we’re attracted to, or making friends at networking events, it can be hard to overcome our fears related to speaking with people.

Many of us experience moments when we are shy, and also moments when the mere thought of speaking with someone makes our stomach knot up. How do we deal with those situations and how do we overcome them? How do we feel good about ourselves so we can put our best foot forward?

Social anxiety and shyness overlap and have many similarities, but they are not the same.

This audiobook is for people who experience moderate to extreme shyness that prevents them from acting the way they want to act in regular social situations. This book is also for people with very low-level social anxiety that can be managed without needing the help of a professional. However, if you or anyone you know is experiencing social anxiety that prevents normal daily functioning then please go seek professional help.

If you are shy or have low-level social anxiety, working on it and breaking through it can be a game changer in your life and how you interact with other people. You’ll feel better about yourself and all of your relationships will improve.

What will this book do for you?

This book will teach you nine strategies for getting past social anxiety and shyness. Study them and then apply them to your life. This book will help you open up, gain confidence in social situations, and over time you will improve. Use this book as your guide for breaking through the shyness and social anxiety that is holding you back.

Best book on social anxiety

This is just what I needed to teach my teenager about his shyness and how to overcome it. I am working with him now so he can grow up confident and healthy. As a parent, I too can benefit from this knowledge. Thank you for writing this book.
