About this listen
When Chicago businessman Abbot O'neal grudgingly acquiesces to his pastor’s insistence that he enter the election for the seat of a popular county commissioner, he unwittingly gains a glimpse into the thriving cesspool of crime and depravity flourishing under the approving eye of city government.
Disgusted by rampant and wanton lawlessness in his community, and the lingering pain over his father’s senseless murder thirty-six years before, Abbot becomes driven enough to put his marriage, his livelihood, and his very life on the line to bring down the man he believes is the key enabler of corruption in the city.
Buoyed by a string of supernatural interventions in pivotal moments that seem to lend righteous legitimacy to his cause, he and his small team mount an effective offensive . . . that is until a shocking revelation comes to light that changes everything; and a string of strange misfortunes and direct attacks against his campaign, his business, and the people he loves, threatens to overshadow the fire in his heart for the masses of suffering people in a community under siege.

I Enjoyed This Book!
I just could not stop listening to “A Certain Four.” I enjoyed how the author carefully revealed the characters’ strengths, struggles, and special abilities within the story. I also appreciated and enjoyed how the narrator brought each character to life. The ending opens the door to a part two.

Coming into one’s own: Gifts for good.
I really enjoyed this unpredictable tale of twists and turns, individual character development and overall storyline. I initially thought, based on the first chapter, that it was a story of traditional inner city issues. However, it is so much more! The author does a wonderful job throughout the entire manuscript with each character’s development and uniqueness!! Additionally, the narrator does an equally impressive job of bringing each character to life!! I am looking forward to the sequel!!

Suspenseful
What a wonderful story, with many surprises. It's very interesting how relatable some of the characters are in the story. Honestly I've listened to it twice and it felt more like I was watching a movie. the author (Charles) definitely keeps your attention with the story and plot. And what a twist at the end.
