Publisher's summary

I don't have time for mysterious strangers. Even the really hot ones.

I met him in a bar the night before I left to move across the country - and I never expected to see him again.

But then he followed me....

It would be creepy if he was just a stalker - but he’s not. He’s a protector, shielding me from a group of nutjobs who believe in dragons.

He saved my life - but now it’s my turn.

And apparently, the nutjobs aren’t wrong. Dragons are real.

And I hold the key to saving them all.

great series start

Would I listen to it again: yes
Did the story keep me engaged: yes
Was I invested in the characters: yes
What did I like about the story? good pace, likeable well rounded characters, a little bit of background on the dragons to set the scene and an interesting story with enough content to set up the series.

A Dragon's Sacred Mate is pure fantasy and providing you go in not looking too deep or questioning too much it's entertaining and I enjoyed it very much - so much so i'm diving straight into book 2 😊.

J.K. Frysta is a new narrator for me. I enjoyed his narration and think his voice suites the dragon perfectly. I had no problem distinguishing characters or feeling the emotions of the story. If i was being really picky, there were times I would have liked stronger inflections in some places and a little more of a difference between the two main characters voices - but these are only minor critiques and neither enough to pull me from what was an enjoyable and well performed story.

Bit too simple

I likes the narrator a lot, his voice is sexy. Only issue is that i wish he had a bit more range to make the differences in characters more noticeable. His voice is so booming and deep that its sometimes hard to distinguish which character is talking.

The story was really not that good.
I feel like the world building and character development didn't do enough before it reached the first sexy scene to really get me to care about it.
Its sexy but not much else to really get me to want me to invest any more time to hear more or to want to dive into another book.

The characters just didnt feel fleshed out and were somewhat generic acting. The dragon guy just felt sorta dumb. He talks like he's never been on this planet before or understand the customs but it just doesn't make a whole lot of sense why he's in this weirs grey zone of understanding our world and not. It feels terribly amateur, like maybe this is just a author still trying to learn to write.

Matt and Reece

Matt is having a string of bad luck. Finally landing a job isn't the change in direction he's hoping it would be either. Things just getting worse and the hot guy he met at the bar back home just added an even bigger complication. Reece is trying to help but his lust keeps getting in the way. I liked that once he embraces Matt as his mate he does so wholeheartedly. Matt's BFF is a hoot and Mercy, ya gotta love Mercy. I liked the hopeful note that ended the story.

Audiobook: While the narrator is very clear I would've liked a lot more inflection in his voice.

Worth it

Dragons, mpreg, action, and a HEA, all the good things. It’s a pretty good story that’s well written and interesting. The only thing I was missing is more dragon baby scenes and family time.
The narration was really good too. J. K. Frysta brought this book to life by portraying the right emotions and giving each character a fitting voice.

Amazing story

I wasn't sure at the first chapter but by the second one, I was swept away in this fascinating world. I enjoyed how the story and characters were developed. The narrator also had an amazing voice. Look forward to the next book!

Good story

Most romance shifter storys have no real plot. This one does. I enjoyed this one.

A Good Start

This was book 1 in the "Guardian Dragons" series. Matthew has been rejected from every dig that he has applied for he is a graduate student working on his PHD when he gets a call from his old professor to go to Texas to help him with the dig he is on, only he isn't sure Professor Taylor is thought of as crazy. Resse is a dragon shifter who meets a friend in a bar only to discover a sacred omega Matthew when he introduces himself, he gets shot down, so he follows him. This was a pretty good read. I also listened to this book on audio, and it was my first time listening to the narrator. When Matt is attacked Resse comes to his rescue. I way Matt speaks, was funny and it took a while to get used to. The dragons are being hunted by the templars the people that attacked Matt they are the same people who sponsored the dig. The sex scenes in this book were hot the knotting was something else. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I have read Aiden's books before, but Jill was new to me. I also liked the narrator. I am looking forward to reading or listening to the next book in this series.

Drama and action

Wow! What an interesting and intriguing storyline. I was sure I knew who the bad guys were, but I was wrong. They were so vile and soulless. It's a page turner to the very end. I loved how different Matthew and Reese, but love is the great equalizer . Great start to the series. The narrator did a good job. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this story and am giving an honest review.

Surprise your an Omega!

This book was kind of funny. Man meets up with a Alpha shifter that he didn’t know existed and surprise he's knocked up with a baby that he never knew he could have. The side characters are funny and come to his aide. I was trying to figure out how you could have a uterus and never knew, Still a romance with other books to follow. Nice fun listening experience.
