Publisher's summary

With so many depending on her, she has no time for a personal life....

When her husband left her pregnant, with a four-year-old child and a restaurant on the verge of bankruptcy, the only things Holly McGinty had time for were her kids - and working hard to stay out of the poor house. Five years later, business is booming and her boys are happy, but she's still putting her own needs at the bottom of her priority list. That doesn't stop her from daydreaming about her oldest son's sexy scout leader, though.

He never believed in love at first sight - until he met her....

Sam Jensen gets along great with kids, is a successful architect, and has the best friends a guy could ask for. But figuring out relationships with women has never come easy to him. He feels like a tongue-tied teenager around most of them. Except for Holly, and it's looking like things might work out with her. As long as one tiny little secret remains a secret.

Age is only a number...especially about love

This second book of the Coach's Boys series is great. There's laughter and tears, the requisite villain in the form of a nasty ex-husband, and all the angst involved in navigating the treacherous waters of a relationship. It's a great book!

Sam is a certified genius. Holly is a single mother of two sons. The two come together, fall in love, and become engaged. There's only one teensy little fly in the ointment. Sam has neglected to tell Holly that he is younger than she is. Considering Holly's ex- left her for a younger woman, she is understandably upset when she finds out. What happens from that point on forces the tissues to come out...

The story is great and the narrator performs it well. While there is a rollercoaster ride involved, it all ends well. The other members of the gang are also included in this book. We also see the beginning of the arc for Ed's story that will build throughout the series. While this book is a standalone with its own happily ever after, to get the full benefit of the series it's wise to enjoy them in order. Another great one from the author!

Sweet story

This book was well written and I liked that it was clean of sex and foul language without being preachy. While a little smut doesn't bother me, I don't think it's necessary for a good story. The only criticism I have is of the narrator. I didn't care for her. I thought after listening to the sample that I would get used to her voice and style, but I just wanted the book to hurry up and end.

Sweet Love Story

This is the second book in the Series, but this is a standalone. This is a sweet, clean and heartwarming love story. The storyline has a slow development. The narration is great an easy to listen. I enjoyed my listening. I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

Sweet and slow with bursts of action and drama

Holly is a strong yet vulnerable woman with great conviction bringing up her two boys by herself. The attraction between her and Sam is slow brewing because of their own personal experiences. The development of their love is sweet, especially because it includes their families and, by extension, their friends. The story mimics life with slow paced moments peppered with high action bursts.

I really enjoy listening to the books in this series. I love how the books I have encountered so far smash some of society's double standards to pieces while remaining romantic and sweet. It is also nice to revisit some of the characters that appear in other books and get sneak peaks into their lives.

Overall, though not the best in the series, this story is still an enjoyable listen.

Another Sweet One

This is another sweet story in this series. With slow romantic development, readers watch these two genuine characters overcome obstacles, fall in love, and become a family. Such an emotionally tender journey, especially with the little boys. Good narration added to the overall enjoyment of the book. Well done.

Hero for Holly Review....

A 6+ hour story that could've been told in 2 hours. Really slow and a disjointed plot.

A Sweet Christian Fiction Story..

Any additional comments?

Holly, the main female lead, is a hard worker just trying to provide for her two cute sons.

Her life hasn't been easy especially anything concerning her ex husband, which makes her hesitant to develop anything more than friendship with Sam.

Sam is a good guy, he is attracted to Holly instantly and is determined to always " be there" for Holly.

There are a few obstacles to overcome before Holly allows herself to be open to Sam and what he represents..

Daniela Acitelli did well with the narration.

A Hero for Holly: The Coach's Boys, Book 2

“This audiobook was given by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review via Audiobook Boom.”

This is book 2 in the series. We get to see old friends, but focusing on another of "coach's boys." A sweet clean romance with morals and values. There are plenty of moments of drama and suspense. There is reconciliation after years of estrangement. Coach has a problem, will it be solved?
I absolutely want to listen to the rest of the series!

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed.
