Good stuff!
Raising kids is not easy. I really appreciate the re-frames of mind that this book presents. These tips are good prompts to change what you are hearing and seeing. When a child is presenting what looks like disrespect, it's an opportunity to set healthy boundaries and show them you love them at the same time.

This book completely changed the way I approach parenting. I didn’t realize how much my child might be holding in or how my reactions could be affecting them. The insights were eye-opening, and the strategies are simple but effective. I’ve started applying some of the suggestions, and I can already see a difference in how we communicate. It’s helped me be more patient and present, which has made a huge impact on our relationship. If you want to truly understand your child and strengthen your bond, this book is a great place to start.

Practical strategies for our child
Whenever I receive a letter from my child, I read it with all my heart. Sometimes, our kids want to tell us something. They need us to support them in whatever circumstances. I need to learn more about my child, as we need to show them love. Someday, they will be on their own. Sometimes, a child may yell or be confused about what to do. Judging their actions may not be the solution; we need to study and work with them so that they can feel your love and support. They learn from their school class and their environment. This audiobook gives us ideas on how to support them.

A great book
The idea of hearing what my child wishes I knew—like how my shouting makes her feel scared instead of “fixed”—hit me hard. I’m a single dad juggling work and parenting, and I thought I had to be tough to keep things together, but this book flipped that on its head. The practical stuff, like swapping yelling for calm timeouts or using play to reconnect, was so doable I started trying it right away.
