Publisher's summary

"We're losing him!" came a frantic voice over the headset.

"I'm still here," the pilot insisted.

"We're losing..." the voice cut out and then there was silence.

"Control, do you read me? Control?" the pilot was panicking.

There was no answer. Suddenly flames burst out all around him. The last thing he remembered was reaching for the eject switch, before his thoughts devolved into an inky black void.

The mysterious pilot was brought into the military hospital unconscious. The base didn't know who he was. Some thought he was an alien, some thought he was a Russian spy all because of the unknown, yet highly advanced airplane he was flying at the time of his crash.

When the pilot awakes, he has amnesia. He gradually gets his memory back only to find that he is not only in the wrong place, he is also in the wrong time.

Awful

If this book was written by a 12 year old, than it’s not a bad book.
Otherwise, it’s bad, really, really, bad.

An interesting book

It is different from any book I have listened to or read. A bit strange. Need to give it another listen to see if my views have changed from strange.

Classic Sci-fi

Though the story was somewhat predictable it was a very enjoyable listen. I think this was a classic example of a good sci-fi. It was a fun ride and was sorry when it ended.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

A voice for the soul!

The narrator is a truly talented individual able to illicit all the appropriate feels from head to toe. Beautifully haunting yet soothing at the same time.

Narration sounds like it was done by Seth Rogan...

Now that you have that mental image... the story was great! Fifteen words. Fifteen words.

Solid book

This was an interesting story that kept me listening from beginning to end. The 'fish out of water' parts of the story made me chuckle multiple times, since I can remember some of them from my early childhood (example: no television remote and only three channels). The time travel aspects were mindbending (in a good way) and really gave food for thought. I won't spoil them but they were really good. All in all, a solid story that was well done. I definitely recommend it.

It was ok.

The plot was good. The narration was not. It almost sounded like AI.
The info pertaining to the F-117 was way, way off. I understand fully that the book is a work of fiction, but having worked on that aircraft, it was painful hearing all of the flaws in the writing.

A story that will occupy your imagination!

This story flows well on the type of thought process involved in contemplation of the time continuum theory.
I do like the way the storyline progressively grows to the beginning.
I would recommend this literature to ages 15 and up

I listened to this audio version of my own accord, and make the above comments on a strictly voluntary basis.

Back In Time

An interesting story about accidental time travel. A test pilot ends up traveling back before his own birth when a flight to test a new engine design goes wrong. This story is a nostalgic retrospective of life in middle America from the Viet Nam war forward. It's light-hearted and doesn't get too tied up with time paradoxes and alternative time lines.
Definitely worth an afternoon's listening time.

Review slipped through the cracks!

I thought I had previously reviewed this audio book, but apparently not. Anyway, it was a very well written book, with better than average twists on how you can mess up your future by changing time. The twists provide humorous/horrific consequences. I whole heartedly recommend this book.
