Very informative for someone with a child with a new diagnosis!

Tons of questions answered and I would highly recommend to anyone with a child on the spectrum. The sharp "S"s from the performer were painful to hear but the info was worth it.

Practical and thorough.

It addresses how to deal with most challenges and how to take advantage of existing resources. The book also highlights the importance of emphasizing strengths to deal with difficulties.

unique relationship

I read it twice and because I just received the ASD and I thought I was ready. we are 12 and she wants answers because she sees her own changes and they don't look like her friends. this has given us steps and strategies to work with going forward. thank you for sharing this for the lost parents and children.

Great for introduction into the ASD world

As the mother of a child who was recently diagnosed with ASD, I felt lost and alone and didn’t know where to turn. I joined an autism support group on Facebook and came to Audible and downloaded a bunch of books. This one is, by far, my favorite. It answered all my questions and provided great tips for me to use in my daily life as well as in the future. I recommend this book for all parents who are struggling to understand how to best help their child with ASD. Good luck to you all! <3

This book gave me greater insight into the disorder as I am learning about my son’s condition. This has been very helpful.

Appropriate

This is an informative book. I don’t know if it’s applicable to all ASD cases.
