Publisher's summary

A madcap and magical retelling of The Goose Girl from a unique perspective. Burndee can barely tolerate the mischievous Prince Colin, but the two of them are invariably thrown together in a way that keeps them at one another’s throats.

While attending a noblewoman’s wedding, Burndee and Colin’s private feud comes to a climax when Burndee loses his temper and does the unthinkable.

With Prince Colin unable to attend to his royal duties and Burndee bound by an inconvenient spell, can the two of them work together long enough to unsnarl the mysterious goings-on around them?

Fun and Entertaining Fairy Tale with a twist

Burndee is not happy and dislikes Prince Colin but circumstances and a well-placed spell that keep them interacting. Together they try to figure out the who and why of things constantly going askew again and again.

The author, Allison Tebo retells the fairytale, The Goose Girl in an entertaining style through a different voice providing an entertaining perspective. The dialogue was well-written and kept the narrative moving at a quick pace. Characters were well developed and blended into the new perspective easily and smoothly. The entertaining antics and interactions between Prince Collin and Burndee set the stage perfectly. The plot twists were well executed and suited the narrative perfectly. I find Allison Tebo’s ability to retell a story from a different perspective to be both creative and immersive.

The narrator, Alexander Keys, provides an entertaining performance. His use of easy-to-identify voices and deliberate pacing keeps the listener captivated. He speaks clearly and with appropriate levels of energy. I find his performances in the fairytale genre to be highly enchanting and engaging.

Allison Tebo and Alexander Keys are an excellent team that provides an entertaining experience. Highly recommend!

Sweet

This was a great retelling of The Goose Girl (or Falada) with many of the original story from the Brothers Grimm! I loved how the protagonists worked together to create a happy ending for everyone, and I adored Brundy with his social anxiety and grumpy exterior & sweet marshmallow heart!
