Light on detail

I would have enjoyed more detail on the available tools and examples of the use of Data Science.

Remarkably clear introduction to a complex subject

Where does A Simple Introduction to Data Science rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Among the best in both content and production.

What was one of the most memorable moments of A Simple Introduction to Data Science?

Not a narrative story so really does not have "moments." Good information overall.

What about Owen Daly’s performance did you like?

Resonant, easy-to-listen-to voice with excellent delivery.

Any additional comments?

A damn good "first" book regarding an important area for professionals to be aware of, and exploit.

Excellent "gateway drug" for the layman

I found this book to be a profoundly enlightening and clear explanation re: the rudiments of data science - its techniques, benefits and potential pitfalls. Highly recommended.

Short and simple.

As my first audio book on data science, I loved it's concise and to the point. I loved that the authors didn't get lost in the vast sea od data-related knowledge. I did however, sometimes had to rewind to understand something. Nevertheless, as a beginner book it did what it was meant to: mention and explain the tools and concepts and left to the listener to explore further.

Not a lot of content here

In one section he simply read from the Hadoop website, while in data cleaning section he gave no more information than the Wikipedia article on the same subject. If you are just looking for buzzards and concepts for your next interview this book will do the job.

Buzz-word soup

Is there anything you would change about this book?

This book reads like a business buzz-word circle jerk at a networking event. "Data Science is the aggregating of a data analytics pipeline for synergistic enterprise solutions around agile teamwork cohorts." It reads like a pitch. I don't know what I was supposed to learn from this book, but I didn't learn anything. Wikipedia righted me.

Good narrator though.
