Publisher's summary

Monica was done with hectic life in New York.

Leaving to practice medicine at a tiny hospital in Shandaken would surely be the change she needed. Moving into her new house, fate knocked in the form of a tall, athletic man, bleeding to death and needing a doctor.

Raul was a rule breaker - constantly fighting with his pack and disobeying his alpha. With his life on the line after a battle, he crawled to the first house he saw. Socializing with humans was forbidden but he would never have guessed the girl who saved him to be the embodiment of beauty and kindness.

Content warning: Explicit love scenes, and piles of sexy shifters. Intended for mature audiences only.

Love vs. Prophecies

This book proves that love comes when you are not looking or ready. I loved this book and I know that the rest of the series will only get better.

Two thumbs up

I really enjoyed this story. It was a quick read so there wasn’t much to it but it was perfect!!! The narrators voice was nice to listen to.

Love is never easy and pretty.

This is a story about Monica and Raul. They are both a bit hesitant when it comes to being in love and a relationship. Monica has every right since she is a recent divorced woman who it seems as though she has been abused. Raul on the other hand comes from a family that makes him doubt all the thoughts that he had about humans for a long time.

When they first meet it is not a fairy tale. They do not fall madly, deeply in love with one another however there is a connect of the bat. I did like the fact that they did not have sex at their first meeting as most short paranormal books tend to do. I do like the fact that there was a connection forming before sex was involved.

The overall story was not a horrible one. All of the hero and heroine's fears were valid and the way that they went about reacting to them were as well. I have to admit that Monica was a lot stronger then she gave herself credit for. She was not afraid to go after what she wanted however she did falter near the end. I am glad it was near the end and the hero was not trying to convince and coddle her. I am glad that Monica came around on her own and realized that Raul is the one and fear will get her nowhere.

I am excited about continuing this series. I have to admit that Sarah J. Stone is someone who is hit or miss for me and this one I am optimistic about.
