About this listen

Wealthy, New York City girl Claire Lindell wasn't looking for a Christmas miracle or happiness when she abruptly decided to hole up for the holiday at her godmother's cottage in a little Yorkshire village, and lick her wounds, from a near disastrous romantic decision.

After her car skids into a snow bank, Claire may have accidently found her perfect Christmas and the family and love she's craved, when she offers Noah Bradford of Ayesgill Farm help to push the back end of one of his sheep out of the icy mud, even if she's going to ruin a brand new pair of Prada boots during the rescue.

What's a little leather when love's on the line?

Holiday fluff

pleasant enough, predictable, holiday romance. Reader okay except she didn't come close to doing a proper Yorkshire accent. in fact, when trying to, it sounded more Australian than anything British.

Great story

Loved the story and the narrator was great just found this by accident. Hope there’s more.

Beautiful Christmas Story!

I loved this sweet story of two lonely, unhappy people, both with painful pasts, unexpectedly finding joy and happiness. From the first meeting, under difficult, yet somewhat humorous circumstances, two individuals from completely different lives styles find themselves drawn to each other. Eventually, being together, they find the wonderful fulfilling life neither one thought they would ever have. Karissa Vacker’s narration was extremely well done as she brings the story to life. I loved her delivery of the story, with her beautiful English accent and tone. I highly recommend this enjoyable Christmas romance.

Horrible narrator

I am a fan of Kate Hewitt’s books, but this was a real disappointment for a few reasons. The worst was the awful narrator. She seems to think she was in Australia! It was so bad, I could hardly concentrate on the story. Also, the book was full price but turned out to be only three hours long. (It may have said it somewhere, but I didn’t think to look around for it.) And, finally, the story itself, while pleasant, reminded me quite a bit of the book that takes place in the Orkney Islands. All in all, a waste of time and money from an otherwise good writer.
