The narration was so inviting and lulling that I found myself engaged on a level I think the book alone would have not been able to achieve.

The performance was fine, even good, but the story is just terribly slow. The whole book seems like a set up for a series rather than setting up an engaging story that readers can't wait to continue. There were parts that were good, but this could have been edited down to a few hours instead of dragging on and on and on.

I have loved all of Meg Cabot’s books, this one was so bad I can’t believe it’s one of hers. It doesn’t even feel like a Meg Cabot book.
