Publisher's summary

For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. But when it comes to human emotions, the reaction is never equal. No one understands this lesson better than the partners at the prestigious accounting firm of Winscott & Associates. Greed, power, money and sex left six people dead and four in the hospital.

Audra Tanner never realized how far and deep the ripple she created in her revenge pool would extend. Now as the dust settles on the explosion that rocked not only her life, but the lives of countless others, Audra must fight to gain control over her life.

Because others are out to end it.

Grand finale

Would you listen to Adjusting Journal Entries again? Why?

Probably will in a couple of years. I like to revisit books I've read, occasionally. As this was my second time through this series, it stands to reason I will either read or listen again.

What other book might you compare Adjusting Journal Entries to and why?

Not a book, it's pretty original. The TV show, Revenge, is the closest comparison I can make. I think the characters have learned some of the same lessons.

Which character – as performed by Sara Morsey – was your favorite?

Audra, but that may be biased, as she is the main character, and I love Sara morsels voice.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No, a lot of scenes made me angry and scared, but this book wasn't really a laughter filled one.

Any additional comments?

An excellent conclusion to eviscerating the snake.

GOOD ENDING OF TRILOGY

Nice wrap up to EVISCERATING THE SNAKE TRILOGY. So many twists and turns. Be warned that this series must be read in order to be able to understand each character and their motivations. Nice satisfying ending. Recommended....

Psychological ChillerThriller of an Avenging Angel

The entire series of Eviscerating the Snake was a mind-blowing chiller. This is a must listen to book. Rather than go into 'Accountable to None' and 'Zero Balance' which are Book 1 and 2 of this series, I will say that they should all be read in that sequence to get to know the characters and their individual plots. The whole story revolves around the main character Audra. Adjusting Journal Entries had so many amazing mental plot twists that it's hard to describe. I think it is exactly that; adjusting journal entries. Fine tuning each actor in this story. Each chapter has each character's innermost thoughts on the revenge that they plotted and why. It really delves into their minds and the evaluation and absolution of revenge. This is a story that keeps you thinking and on the edge of your seat. They were all so good that I will listen to them again. It was fantastic and Sara Morsey was perfect for this book. It was all well put together and Ashley Fontainne is a terrific author. I highly recommend this series and in the epilogue it sounded as if there could be a Book 4. I hope so! I received this audiobook free of charge in exchange for an unbiased review.

Great ending to a thrilling trilogy!

Any additional comments?

Adjusting Journal Entries is the third book in the Eviscerating the Snake series by Ashley Fontainne. In the first book, Accountable to None, we are introduced to the employees and partners in the prestigious Arizona accounting firm of Winscott & Associates, where the managing partner committed heinous acts on its female employees and our heroine, Audra, stopped Olin's tyranny. The second book, Zero Balance, deals with the aftermath of Audra shaking things up with the firm, including the mentally unstable former partner, Piper, who goes on a killing spree of the firm's employees.

In Adjusting Journal Entries the villain is fellow partner Nicole who resents Audra for ruining her secure life at the firm. In this book Nicole's backstory is wonderfully developed and we better understand why she takes the actions that she does. A few loose ends are also tied up nicely after a few thrilling scenes where I just couldn't listen fast enough to see how our heroine would escape.

I was extremely happy to have Sara Morsey back narrating. She does a fantastic job differentiating between the male and female characters and her voice portrayals between books is consistent (not all narrators do this). She was very believable as Nicole, taking her from a self absorbed workaholic to a demented madwoman over the course of three books. Well done!!

a continuation of revenge gone sour.

Adjusting Journal Entries: Eviscerating the Snake, Book 3 is a continuation of revenge gone sour.

Audra Tanner worked in a pit of viperous snakes; she just didn’t know how many or how dangerous their venomous bites could be! Having survived Olin Kemper’s rape and the equity partner’s revealed past discretions she set loose upon the world Audra is now faced with salvaging a flailing Winscott & Associates. Everyone is jumping ship including Eric who not only leaves Winscott & Associates but also Nicole.

Unfortunately, not all the vipers are dead or incarcerated – there’s still Nicole who is angry with Audra and Eric! Other side lines involve Olin’s son, Ethan and his blackmail scheme of Nick.

Although Audra has no recollection of what happened the night Olin and Kevin died or how she was shot Audra has decided to end her relationship with Winscott & Associates and turn it all over to Nicole – in most minds that would end any hateful feelings.

Audra and Steve must face the viperous Nicole and the bear the results of Audra’s vengeful doings that put all this in motion. Who lives and who dies in this latest installment of Ashley Fontainne’s series is mindboggling – no one is safe. The ending will set your teeth on edge with excitement and dread …

Once again, Fontainne has taken characters to newer depths revealing more evil dwelling in the souls of some and the love and kindness in others. The plot development was excellent with the side stories flowing into the main plot perfectly.

Fontainne is an excellent suspense/thriller writer taking the art of story-telling to higher heights. Fontainne is a masterful artist with words and descriptions that leaves one gasping and struggling to comprehend how vicious and circular revenge can be.

Fontainne has created a wonderful series that is captivating and exciting!

Sara Morsey again, does an excellent job of portraying each character and infusing the story with even more suspense by her performance.

RM SW Press created a fault free, perfect production of Adjusting Journal Entries: Eviscerating the Snake, Book 3. I had no issues and found it well produced allowing me to sit back and enjoy the story.

A Real Nail Biter!

If you could sum up Adjusting Journal Entries in three words, what would they be?

real nail biter

What did you like best about this story?

I loved how all the facts come around full circle, thus explaining many of my unanswered questions!

Have you listened to any of Sara Morsey’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, this ranks up with the best! very enjoyable, soothing voices. Great southern accents!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It had me biting my nails thru the suspense. I was always waiting for another shoe to drop!

Any additional comments?

The author has an incredible imagination to write this series. I see an opening at the end for yet another book too (or maybe it's wishful thinking on my part)? A very twisted suspenseful thriller that doesn't disappoint.

End of the trilogy

In the final page of Adjusting Journal Entries he author seems to leave open the possibility the Eviscerating the Snake trilogy will become a longer series.

I have previously written brief reviews of the first two novels of this trilogy. I'll repeat from my review of Zero Balance, Book 2 of the trilogy: Warning: this series is dark, extremely violent, rather profane, very fascinating and addictive. Author Ashley Fontainne has a devious mind! Narration is excellent; however, this series would be better with both a female and a male narrator because it is written in the first person of both female and male characters. I've really enjoyed this dark suspense series.
