I'm determined to have a child, which means one week in one bed...with an alien.
According to the Xilan-Earth agreement, I'll belong to Prince Vikar, a seven-foot-tall, scaly blue alien, for one week. In exchange for giving him whatever he needs, this cocky "prince" assures me I'll return to Earth with a child on the way. But when the space station's attacked and alien spiders try to steal me, Vikar and I must flee.
Then he tells me that once we get away, he's not sending me back....
Alien Prince’s Bride is book two in the Fated Mates of the Xilan Warrior Series. This book offers aliens who look and act alien, heat, and a guaranteed happily ever after. The series is best when listened to in order.

Narration Type: Dual Narration
The heroine: Avery - She is one of Lydia’s three best friends who all wanted babies and signed up for the Xilan slaking program. Avery was selected for one of the first waves of the program along with her three friends based on matching up Xilan male and human female fertility times. Avery is a strong and independent female. Her parents died within days of each other and she sees having a baby as a way for them to live on.
The Hero: Prince Vikar - He is Gorok’s best friend. Gorok is the commander from the first book in this series. He is cocky and self-assured and wants to find a mate to bring home to Xilan even though he knows there is very little chance of finding a true mate among the human females.
The Story: A virus made most of the men on earth sterile and the women really started to feel their biological clocks ticking. So, when an alien species called the Xilan, whose women were mostly decimated in a war, contacted earth to tell them their males go through a “Slaking” every three years where they are basically in heat. They need females to slake their desires during that time and they promised to give those females children in exchange since it was the males fertile time.
The human females and Xilan males meet at a neutral space station and stay for a week during the slaking. However, when that space station is overrun with those same bug-like aliens who are intent on invading earth, the Prince and Avery end up fleeing the station. The romance and steamy scenes were not unlike the first book in the series, as is the space station setting and the fact that it was attacked. However, in the first book the two main characters were stuck on the station fighting with the bugs, while in this one, they escaped and had a wholly different type of adventure in space.
This book is told in dual points of view via dual narration and was narrated by Felicity Munroe and Stephen Dexter. I really enjoy both of these narrators especially for alien romance. They both show a lot of emotion through their voices and are each able to do numerous voices for different characters. I have listened to them quite a bit in the past and both always do a terrific job. The romance was pretty good and the intimate scenes were quite steamy, though if I ever hear the words “Bulbous tip” again it will be too soon.
