About this listen

Using a new Legendary treasure-seeking card, Arthur and Brixaby travel to an unknown kingdom in search of a way to defeat the scourglings.

They arrive in a land both familiar and strange. A continent where there have been no dragons for generations. One where human civilization now exists in shrinking cities that are increasingly squeezed in by dead lands. Here, the bold and desperate risk it all for the promise of cards.

Arthur, Brixaby, and their newly reunited retinue will need every trick they can pull from their decks. In the core of the city rests the dark heart of an ancient scourgling eruption—and it’s reawakening.

This once-in-a-decade opportunity offers new powers, secrets to the origins of scourglings, and high-level cards for the taking… for those brave enough to delve deep, and survive.

It may also be the key for Arthur to complete his Master card set.

Critic reviews

“Honour Rae’s All the Skills has everything I love: great writing, an intriguing mystery, and badass dragons. Well, some of them are badass. Some are dweebs, and that makes it even more awesome. And the audio is some of Luke Daniels’s finest work.” —Matt Dinniman, bestselling author of Dungeon Crawler Carl

Did not disappoint

I love this series. I can’t say it enough. Honour is gonna stress me yet waiting on new books! I have gotten so used to Luke Daniels that if I hear him on another book I’m going to automatically picture Arthur in my mind’s eye. Great addition to the series. I’m looking forward to seeing what happens with the cast of characters upon return to the different hives and villages. Until next time….

Better and better!

I’ve been waiting patiently for this release and it did not disappoint! I love that we get to dip back into the origins of it all. And a lot of fun! Top notch performance and continuation of the tale. Ugh. Now I have to wait again…..👍🏽

Leveling-up

Everyone likes a good dungeon crawl. I know the book just came out, but I can’t wait for the next.

another RPG having to integrate with Earth crap

I enjoy the story. I'm just tired of all these lit RPGs suddenly and for no reason tying into Earth and Earth crap. it's great when they're building a universe, I don't see the reason why they have to bring in Earth. it's really just a cop-out and annoying in my opinion and breaks the immersion

Disorienting story history, but post apocalypse I would love to live in

don't get wrong this is an awesome book series, but I don'tal appreciate being torn out of the story immersion. But i got thrown out the story hard when modern day earth was brought into this. it ended up being me pausing the story to figure out how far from 2024 the story was, wonsering which continent the main character was born, to where he's traveled because it's no secret he's currently in America in these most recent books.
But seriously I'm now hypothesising before I finish the book if dragons are just something humans genetically modified amongst other things.
This would have been so much better if there were even remote hints. like some history or geographical stuff. like when he saw first map what was the ocean name, continent name. Was the desert india or Africa or what?
Going from thinking we are are jn a unique world to just being in a post apocalyptic Earth out of left field is disorienting.
But I like this sort of post apocalypse than a zombie one.

Dark hearts are…. Dark

I very much enjoyed this book! I’ve loved the series since the start and I cannot wait for the next one. I was happy to see old friends in this installment while also meeting new friends. The growth that both Arthur and Brixaby are going through is well written and believable. Luke Daniels is one of the absolute best narrators and brings such life to this production!

Honored

Another great, well constructed title by Honor Rae. I swear, they must have been born with a 'Good Writer' card in their heart deck
