The first audiobook in a hilarious book series that tackles anxiety in a fun, kid-friendly way. Perfect for both beginning and reluctant listeners, and fans of Diary of a Wimpy Kid!

A humorous and touching series about facing your fears and embracing new experiences—with a truly unforgettable character—from author Lenore Look and New York Times best-selling and Caldecott Honor winning illustrator LeUyen Pham.

Alvin, an Asian American second grader, is afraid of everything—elevators, tunnels, girls, and, most of all, school. He’s so afraid of school that, while he’ s there, he never, ever, says a word. But at home, Alvin is a very loud superhero named Firecracker Man, a brother to Calvin and Anibelly, and a gentleman-in-training, just like his dad. With the help of his family, can Alvin take on the outside world without letting his fears get the best of him?

Children’s literature

I thought it was a well structured book we have to criticize the book for our children’s a lit class I as a 23 year old believe the author did a good job (and as well the person reading it) because even though it is for a child it was well written. I think the definition and other things like the book is to advance until possibly 7th grade (personally I didn’t learn about Shakespeare till my freshmen year) but other then that I think it’s a good book for your kids to enjoy.

Great Read Aloud for Grade 3

I used this audio book as a read aloud for summer school. I projected the book on the board as the narrator (an adorable kid!) read it. The kids really liked the book and always looked forward to coming to the rug to listen to a chapter. My class did a project to do a review and presentation of the book at the end of summer school. All the kids voted and gave it a total of 3.8 stars! Most of them really liked it. I teach ESL so a few of the kids liked it less, but I think that was because it was a bit above their level. Great for 3rd graders!
