“Us. We’re okay, aren’t we, mukka?” (Jack Harrison)

Video footage of Jack sleeping with Cutter, a man who mutilated teenagers for his own sadistic streak, should have stayed dead and buried with the man who had filmed it. Yet when footage of Jack’s past starts appearing on internet porn sites, Jack’s whole world is again turned on its head. At first the porn links are done to unsettle, to disrupt Jack’s fire-and-ice world: all the sexed-up adrenaline of being caught between the pleasure of Gray Raoul’s BDSM kink and the gentleness of Jan Richards’ vanilla touch. But when the content of the porn sites force even Gray to turn his back on Jack, leaving Jack isolated and away from the full protection of the Masters’ Circle, Jack is left at the mercy of a group of men who are out to alter Jack’s whole perception on his BDSM lifestyle and the reality of being Jack Harrison.

As brutally as possible, Jack’s sex life is now a live webcam feed for a whole new audience.

Sniff

If you are familiar with this series, I’m sure you know this is one of the toughest books in it. I was curious to see how Dan would handle the narration, and I must say, I was not disappointed.

Dark Listen

I enjoyed this narrator and this story. Both together make one delicious audiobook. It will be put on my list for relisten. This is only the second one by this author I’ve had the opportunity to listen to and I am not disappointed. Of course not everyone will enjoy this because it’s dark and could hold triggers but I did.

Dark dark dark.

Holy shit. Just finished book 1-2. Potential spoiler alert.
An emotional intense roller coaster. I almost had to quit listening at one point. The explicit rape scenes together with the mind games are frankly horrifying and terrifying.
The narration was a spot on. I was scared for them. Damn. Well done. Loved it!

It was such an intense book.

Wow. This was a very intense book. Captivating. Painful. Heartbreaking. I was very interesting to see the reactions to each of the characters. All of them so unexpected, which make the book so wonderful.
I mostly listen to the audiobook and I’m so in love with the voices given to Jan and Gray. Particularly in sweet moments. Every time one of this guys say the word baby just melt my heart. I did struggle a little bit with the narration at times, It felt I got easily confused and lost track of what was going on, but I still love most of it.

The book in general was more than I could expect. I already loved the characters and that didn’t change after reading this one. I’m more than intrigued by Gray, he is so interesting. I can’t wait to keep reading and/or listening about them. Recommended with caution, because it had some very dark moments that might not be suitable for all readers. This is not an stand alone.

What a ride!

Jack L. Pyke and Dan Calley have done it once again! I wasn't sure that Don't could be topped...but dang if I wasn't wrong! This novel is beautiful and tragic in its own right...but with Dan brings to the table with his fantastic narration...it is just stunning! It is certainly not an easy book to get through...it will break your heart...but it does leave you with hope for the future...bring your tissues, you are going to need them!

Pain, Drama, and brilliance

The horror of what Jack and Jan went through is the stuff of nightmares. For Grey, it’s almost worse in some ways. This is not an easy read, but worth it in the end.

I’d really like to see Grey bring Jan closer, but maybe in future their relationship will develop.

I found the narrator’s accents and style easier to understand than in the first book, so he went from four stars to five this time.

A hard story to listen to but so good

This series is not for the faint at heart. If you dot like violence and Noncon... back away now. Also, you must read or listen to book One Don't first as this picks up after.
I am going to admit These books take me a little longer to get through than some. It is not that they are not gripping or interesting it is just the content that is very rough. I'll also admit this one is so harch I nearly quit a couple of times but decided to push through since I wanted to see where the series goes. Now having said this... The story is great. The characters are intriguing, it is well written and keeps you on your toes but you must pay close attention. I think part of the problem for me was that there is a lot of memories or dream sequences and it was hard to make that known in the narration so I got lost a couple of time. I will say I chewed my nails to nubs and cried in this one a lot. Oh and I forgot to mention the twists and the shocking ending. my jaw still hurts from dropping to the floor.
The narration is perfect. Dan Calley has the perfect accent for these men and brings the story to life. he keeps you pulled in. Every time he says doesn't I cringe now.
If you like a dark romance, Don't mind violence and rape I think you will like this series. it is dark and twisted and oh so good.

little bit of everything all rolled together

this series seems to have a little bit of everything rolled all together dark (sometimes very dark), very sexy, a few smiles and chuckles, sweet, lots of angst but that is all want makes this so worth the listen. and Dan just brings Jacks words come to life it would not be as good (in my opinion) with anyone else narrating.

OMG!!

OMG is what I need to say after listening to this story. I am loving this dark psychological thriller! I thought that the first was good but this one is even better. Jack L. Pyke made such a amazingly dark read that I just love. Then Dan Calley does such an amazing job in the narration that just makes this story even better. Beautiful done!
