George Guidall
The only author to win the Glass Key Award for Best Nordic Crime Novel two years in a row, Arnaldur Indridason has sold more than five million copies of his novels in more than 25 countries. A detective whose inner turmoil threatens to consume him, Erlendur Sveinsson is charged with investigating the death of an Asian boy—and confronting forces colder than Iceland’s frigid clime.

I love this narrator! He is so easy to listen to. His different voices add such an amazing dynamic to the already good story making it a full bodied experience.
Great narration

Any additional comments?
Not sure if other reviewers listened to the same book. This is a wonderful installment of the Erlendur series. The story is rich with atmosphere and George Guidall's narration is again, spot on. For avid followers, this book also provides some interesting insight into Sigurdur Oli.Another great Arnaldur Indridason Iceland mystery

Would you listen to Arctic Chill again? Why?
Not in the next six months, but probably in the future to review the story. This is the first time for this author and I plan to listen to more of his books. What was one of the most memorable moments of Arctic Chill?
The ending. It was tragic but oh so true to the ways of teens, acting without thought or purpose. What does George Guidall bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
George Guidall is one of the best audible book readers. I have listened to many of his books and enjoy them every time mostly because of his skill to put you into the book. Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The beginning and terrible waste of a young life.Any additional comments?
Make more recordings of all of Arnaldur Indridason's books, not just a few.Truly enjoyed this Icelandic dectective novel

What disappointed you about Arctic Chill?
Hard to follow, slow uninteresting plot, boring to readWhat was most disappointing about Arnaldur Indridason’s story?
It did not capture me as a reader as most mysteries to. It was not in league with other Nordic writers such as Jo NesboWhat didn’t you like about George Guidall’s performance?
No problem with the reader it was the bookWhat character would you cut from Arctic Chill?
Eliminating a character would not enhance the bookAny additional comments?
Disappointing, 1st chapter is ok but then it goes downhillBoring, Boring, Boring . I challenged myself to it

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
It was the story. And I was shocked. I love this series. I'm dying to find out if anything wierd happened to the little brother! I am not sure that Guidall could have done a thing to help.It seemed like the same witness / suspect interview repeated 150 times! It just went on and on. "Can you think of anyone who would want to hurt him?" "No. Who would have done such a terrible thing?! " I'm sure thats how detective work really is, but I'm hoping for a little bit more entertainment in my escapism. It was all I could do to get to the end. What do you think your next listen will be?
I will try another one because this had to be a fluke.Did George Guidall do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
George Guidall does wonderfully in EVERYTHING.If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Arctic Chill?
About half the interview scenes. Or changed up the dialog at least a little!!Disappointed.
