Talk about a lucky layover! Arrogant Arrival is a hilarious and heartfelt addition to the Cocky Hero Club collection. Think My Big Fat Greek Wedding meets the mile high club. Jolene is a flight attendant who is done with dating arrogant pilots! Jim is an amiable cinnamon roll in the right place at the right time for a meet-cute with the beguiling woman cursing men with her besties. Arrogant Arrival was a fun, whirlwind romance. With a bit of mistaken identity and forced proximity, this insta-lust love story will make you laugh. This was my first book by Gail Haris and I was giggling non-stop. I enjoyed Gail’s storytelling and complex characters. A couple of moderate time jumps moved the story along nicely and the side characters were a hoot! From Jo’s besties to Jim’s very traditional Greek matriarchs, they all added depth to this fun story. From one-night stand to fake fiance, Arrogant Arrival covers the trope spectrum seamlessly. If you need a laugh and a swoony destination romance to sweep you off your feet, add Arrogant Arrival to your TBR.
Summer Roberts and Michael Manion were well cast for Jolene and Jim. Summer’s lighthearted performance was delightful for Jo’s character. She captured the vivacious, disheartened, adventurous, bighearted character beautifully. Michael Manion’s low timbre and sultry delivery will melt your…heart and bring a smile to your face. I loved the playful back and forth between these two, they made a great duo in the booth! If you’re in the mood for a cheeky romcom with heaps of fun innuendo and steamy moments, then Arrogant Arrival is your next destination!
