Pretty shallow

I'm not impressed. It isn't deep enough to tell me much, or particularly brilliant in what it does do.

Great overview on the subject

Any additional comments?

Very informative introduction on what AI is, its development, current uses and how it might impact our future society. The narration by Roger Wyatt is superb, adding even more interest for the listener.

Numerous Naive and Unfounded Statements

While this book covers a number of useful topics for people unfamiliar with AI, there are frequent statements that make little sense or are either uninformed or stated without reference or citation. Most are opinion statements without qualifying them as such. It will state that 'most people...' or 'workers in the AI industry...' or say something like 'Computers don't think...' It reads like an undergrad who did a modest amount of research for their first attempt at writing a research paper on the topic. Though not awful, this book is decidedly not a smart read.

Can we trust our future society to AI?

Would you listen to Artificial Intelligence again? Why?

The idea of Artificial Intelligence has been the subject of many Science Fiction stories from Star Trek to Terminator. The story does a good job of intruding us to what AI is and then proposing some what if scenarios. I'll definitely listen again as some interesting concept are proposed and merritt listening to again for better understanding.

What did you like best about this story?

I found this informative, it's really more of a documentary style writing than a story... so there isn't a plot per se, but I learned some new facets about AI that I didn't know even though I work in Technology.

What does Roger A. Wyatt bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Roger's voice is easy to listen to and understand and he effectively uses modulation of tone to help introduce new ideas and concepts.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Superficial, lacks depth

Very superficial in content and low level in analysis. Only for very brief overview and introduction.
