Another good one by Gerri Hill. An artist meets an architect, and the sparks start flying!

Cassie and Luke are literally the "love at first sight" couple, but of course, things don't happen right away. Cassie hasn't come to terms with her sexuality because of her upbringing by her father's strict and religious ways. It's wonderful to see her come into her own, finding the freedom to be herself and be able to love whomever she wants. And Luke is perfect for her - patient, loving, caring, and understanding. ❤️❤️❤️

I do wish it was longer. Not only was the couple amazing together, but there were some this I wish I could have seen play out. I won't say what because I don't want to give ay spoilers....but dont worry, it doesn'ttake away from the story.

The combination of Gerri Hill story and the sexy voice of Abby Craden is a vining combination.
This story of an artist who grew up with a father who is a reverend anti gay, who denied her sexuality for so many years, is a well written story and actually I am waiting for a sequel., it left me on a cliff hanger. not fair.

This is not just a great book - it's also one that will leave you feeling extremely free. I read the last few minutes while sitting in the parking lot of my son's school. Stepped out to go pick him up feeling lighter and taller. If you have ever felt yourself holding back on life because of your childhood, read this.

Probably not necessary to add since it IS Abby Craden and all...but for anyone who hasn't experienced her narrating, she's fantastic as always.

I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the overall story line. I often find Gerri Hill books a little slow to start and while that remains true for me I found that the relationship between the two characters deserved as much tentative care as she gave them. A sweet story of finding and re-finding yourself and then finding yourself with another person. I appreciated the careful arc of the tension without the overshadowing sorrow that one often sees with coming out. As usual, Abby Craden delivers an excellent performance that brings a totally different life to the story.

The parental attitudes were pretty similar, though mine was more passive. But this is pretty close to my story and she tells it well.
