Elizabeth and Darcy and Wickham—oh my!

Mr. Darcy’s departure has solved nothing. He loves Elizabeth Bennet as much as ever—and he has left her vulnerable to Wickham’s lies. Why not send her a warning? Anonymously, of course. He must conquer his obsession, yet he must also do something to protect her. But when Darcy is dunned for a bill of Wickham’s—an old trick—he sends the magistrate’s men with a warrant. Wickham, however, is nowhere to be found. At the same time, a titled lady appears in Hunsford. Why does she look so familiar? What of her pointed interest in Darcy’s sister? Is there anyone who will believe what Darcy suspects?

Elizabeth has her hands full when she comes to Hunsford. Her army-mad youngest sister causes trouble everywhere! What is more, those cryptic Valentines keep arriving. And then there is Mr. Darcy, a man she is determined to dislike. Why must his suspicions about the unknown lady match hers? Sparks fly as she joins forces with him to discover a truth that is both laughable and treacherous.

As for being at odds with Mr. Darcy, Elizabeth’s heart has other ideas. Will a nonsensical demand ruin what has grown up between them?

As Only Mr. Darcy Can is a feel-good Regency romp, featuring all your friends from Pride and Prejudice. Intrigue, sweet romance, and laughter are waiting for you.

Good story

I loved the plot and the interactions between Darcy and Elizabeth. There were a lot of cute and funny moments. Highly recommended.

One of the wildest Wickham schemes I’ve ever read!!

Wickham’s schemes in this one definitely are more outlandish than I’ve read/heard before but highly entertaining. Darcy asking for Lizzy’s help and ODC working together to figure out Lady Lavinia was sweet! I adore the proposal scene in this one (technically both although desiring to smack Mr. Collins was a strong reaction!)

Great read

This was a funny story. Mr Wickham was acting funny. Lydia was sent with Elizabeth to Hunsford and that added some fun to this story. Great Jaff

Silly premise, entertaining tho

This was not my favorite PPV, it's good, I think it would have been much better with a different narrator. Don't get me wrong, Mr Fife is a talented reader, his voice just doesn't fit the genre for me. Also, I felt like the moments that were supposed to be funny really weren't because of his reading style. Overall the story is well done, I like the characters and interactions, dialogue was interesting, the story premise was unique for sure.

If you're getting to the end of available PPV stories and are desperate like I was, it's worth a listen.

Not well focused

I felt that the book was a little scattered - not focused. The reader read straight through from one chapter to the next without any break. I would stop listening sometimes because of boredom. Lydia was stupid - Wickham was bad but not as wicked as usual. Elizabeth and Darcy relationship was a little flat. It was not a terrible book, but it also was not as interesting as many of the variations I have listened to or read.
