About this listen

In a dangerous world that is burning and without power, only the strong will survive.

After five weeks, the survivors thought the worst was behind them, they were wrong. When rumors of state safe zones are broadcast over the radio, Alex and Garcia journey north to investigate a glimmer of hope. But what they find will shatter their lives forever.

Still reeling from a second attack, Danielle Gardiner uncovers more secrets about Ryan and a potential third wave. With higher stakes and even more to lose, Sophie is drawn away to assist Homeland Security in a plan that will either save the nation or destroy it.

Without oversight, Liam is on a warpath seeking vengeance for the death of his friend, but with justice comes consequences, and a rash decision made in the heat of the moment could lead to the death of them all.

Listen to the epic conclusion to the Cyber Apocalypse series and find out who survives. As Our World Burns is book three of the Cyber Apocalypse series, a post-apocalyptic survival thriller that follows a husband and wife as they fight to stay alive after an unknown attacker destroys the country and power supply.

Action-Packed Finale

Jack Hunt has stuffed his final book in the 'Cyber Apocalypse' series with beginning-to-end action. By turns, the group face a ruthless meth manufacturer, a maniacal biker gang and extremist terrorists, all bent on destruction in the most violent way possible. Can the members of the group survive the violence that surrounds them?

My favorite aspect of Hunt's books, on perfect display here, is his ability to build up tension in the reader and sustain that throughout the entire book. It makes for a delicious edge-of-the-seat, nail-biting experience. Characterization is not given short shrift in Hunt's books. The 'heroes' are flawed but likeable. The villains' actions are given believable motivation. The reader is given a conclusion that reveals who is responsible for the attacks on America. The ending is somewhat bittersweet and left a little open, but is satisfying nonetheless.

I've listened to several books narrated by Kevin Pierce. His reading style suits this genre well. I don't think I can explain this effectively, but Pierce does NOT tend to over-dramatization in tone. Somehow, it feels more intimate and real; like he's recounting his personal experiences to the listener.

Highly recommended.

Great Conclusion to a Very Good Series

I was given this free review copy audio-book at my request and have voluntarily left this review. This review is for the audio copy of As Our World Burns: A Post-Apocalyptic Survival Thriller - Cyber Apocalypse, Book 3 by Jack Hunt and narrated by Kevin Pierce. This was a very engaging series. As stated in the previous two book reviews, character development was consistent throughout the books. It seemed very realistic and plausible. It came to a satisfactory conclusion in book 3 which appears to be the end of the series. And you can’t get a better narrator for this genre than Kevin Pierce.

Another Great Series!

There's a lot going on in the Cyber Apocalypse. The characters stories are very intertwined, between Sophie, Alex, and Garcia. That's quite a triangle. And Elisha, Liam, and Ryan all complete the group of memorable characters. There are also new characters, gangs, etc that come into play. Jack Hunt has create a realistic portrayal of what the country would look like after the lights go out, with mayhem being the catalyst. There are a few good guys, but for the most part, underlings feel the voids left in a society gone mad. We can see this today.

Kevin Pierce is his ever perfect self. It doesn't get better.

Good addition to the series

This audiobook kept very consistent with the others in the series and I enjoyed it very much. By now, if you have read or listened along you know our characters what they’re all about and what their goals are. There shouldn’t be too many surprises here… But yet there still was. I just loved this entire series and how it went from point a to point B wasn’t in a straight line but took many side journeys and each was more interesting than the next. I am pretty certain that our series ends here for our characters, but there is room to grow even for a spinoff series or a continuation. If you followed along you would be happy with this ending but there still are some unanswered questions that I would love to see the author come through and write just maybe one more addition to the series. I have listen to very many audio books by this author and will continue to do so I love his work. The narration in this entire series, including this book was very very well done. Kevin Pierce is one of my favourite voices and will continue to be. He just brings that something extra to give the book even more life than it already breathes. Overall a very very good series that I could not put down. I received a free copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review. This in no way affected my opinion of this work. I received the book from Audiobook Boom

End of Series

I love post-apocalyptic books without zombies with good narration. I enjoyed the characters of Alex and Sophie Reid, foster child Ryan, Elisha, Liam, and Garcia (a cop) in the past 2 books. This book is full of action especially with bikers and boats. Enjoyed characters of Jody, Marco and Danny, felt sorry about Gus. It was good ending but upset about Liam. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. THANK YOU

Really good book

Good book and steady action non-stop. A few extra names to try and keep up with, but not to bad. Well worth the read/listen.
