About this listen

It is said the Phoenix Lords arrive on the eve of great moments....

Guided by fate, Asurmen the Hand of Asuryan comes to the craftworld of Ulthwé. At the behest of the head of the seer council, he joins the warriors of Ulthwé and the young seer Eldrad on a quest to the Crone Worlds in search of the oracle Hiron-athela.

It is believed that this being holds an artefact that could safeguard Ulthwé's future, but in order to obtain it the eldar must travel a dark road....

solid radio drama for the craftworld eldar

this self-contained radio drama has good sound effects and decent acting. worthwhile and fun, it can be a little predictable but it's a solid adventure. at times the sound effects are a bit rough on the voices.

This audio drama was very well done and stands up to others in its performances as well as the story.

Surprisingly good

Despite most Eldar books or audiodramas being a mix between bad or ok this was was pretty good. It's nice to see an actual competent eldar who also doesn't have a massive ego. The way he talked about humanity surprised me and it made perfect sense. Asurmen is OLD meaning he saw us rise to the Golden Age of Technology and fall to the Age of Strife. He understands how we suffered due to the eldars folly and even chooses to spare humans who settled on an eldar world.
He is wise and patient which is a breath of fresh air in this setting.
The end was kinda obvious if you read an eldar book before. They always have this plot to find a macguffin from their old empire that will surely be their salvation only to be revealed to be a trap by the end. It's kinda predictable but overall still enjoyable.

Fantastic, Though Brief

I would honestly listen to these audio dramas in full length form. It’s a shame they are likely too expensive to produce!

Fantastic story set in pre-Imperial (!) space where the Eldar are just starting to come to the realization that they really can’t trust anything or anyone. I sincerely enjoy the way Gav Thorpe writes Eldrad. Really enjoyed giving this one a listen!

without a doubt this is the best of 40K audio

Asurmen is the most interesting of characters from the 40K universe, regal wise and deadly

Love it though wished it was a bit longer

Nice production overall, it’s a great short story that leaves you wanting more. I do wish it was a bit longer though personally.

Go Eldar Go.

Worth it for any serious Aeldari player. I enjoyed the backstory and a look into my peoples’ minds.
