Publisher's summary

For a long time, Virtual Reality games were confined to headsets and controllers. They were the gaming norm, enjoyed by many. But then, Ataris Station was revealed; an unprecedented, fully immersive experience.

Four gamers are selected to be the first to enter this uncharted territory. They will step into a world like no other, to herald in a new era of gaming, celebrated worldwide by live stream.

But someone has other ideas. Suddenly, the possibility of death without respawn becomes very real, and there appears to be no way to exit the game. An adventure into the unknown turns into a fight for survival, broadcast live on the internet.

Interesting way to tell a great story

If you like reading and playing video games this book was written for you. The characters are interesting and the writer does a great job matching their personalities to their gaming styles. The in game environments that the characters find themselves in are described in such a way that it makes you feel like you have a VR headset strapped to your face and are there with the players. The writer alludes to different real world games and these details help the reader identify with what kinds of games they’re playing in the book. The narration is easy to listen to, very calming but also does a good job of intensifying during stressful parts.
