Narrator could use a little training on pronunciation, inflection and character development.
Spoiled by the spot-on narration style of Abby Crayden, which I have come to associate with most of the Jae books I have selected, I found some of Hayden’s character voices and vocabulary mispronunciations kind of grating at times.
Overall a great story.

I should say I don't often take the time to leave reviews, this audiobook was honestly so lovely and refreshing in part because it wasn't your typical les-fiction setting and story (you know what I mean if you've listened to/read alot of lesbian romance such as myself). I found myself so incredibly invested and eager to hear what came next for Luke and Nora that I purchased the second book half way through finishing this one and absolutely inhaled that book as well, a beautiful story with such profound messages throughout. I fell in love with these characters and I find myself still thinking of them days later - you will not regret diving into these.

A must read.

I was so glad to see a female character who lives as a man and loves women. It isn't often seen in lesbian romance. Three narrator was very good except for her pronunciation of several words like "pinochle" and "unrequited."

This is one of my favorite books by Jae. The narrator Hayden Bishop did a wonderful job. I believe this is one of the 1st books I've ever listened to from her and she did a wonderful job with character voices.

This story is so well developed. I can relate to the characters, have feelings of tension and sadness, and even feel for those that are not fully characterized throughout the story. The narrator did such an awesome job as well. I appreciated the voice acting and not just the reading of the story. At no time was I bored or zoned out during the awesomely written story or the narration of each character. I would recommend this story to anyone.
