Max was a professional soldier, and extremely good at his job. Right up until it killed him.

Max chooses to gamble! To live a new life, whatever that might entail. Favored with a blessing of the Valkyries, who gift him with an unusual bloodline, he is reborn on a world of magic and monsters. In fact, his own new body is half monster!

Thrust into the world with nothing but a canvas diaper, sharp teeth, and claws, Max must use his skills as a soldier to improvise and survive. There are no respawns, and at level zero, nearly everything can kill him.

With his new status as one of the Battleborne, much is expected of Max. Dangerous and difficult quests are presented to him, and the loot ranges from filthy goblin loincloths to epic weapons!

Join Max as he learns to navigate his new life, struggling with the instincts of his monster bloodlines, and taking advantage of them at the same time.

I absolutely love this book characters are, Amazing World building was amazing, narrator did a great performance with each race there voices sounded exactly what I think that race would sound like. I saw a lot of the reviews saying that there's a lot negative reviews on this one such as saying that the book doesn't know what it wants to be, for that I would say the book knows exactly what it wants to be a wants to be a book about a person who is exploring this new world and sometimes that means he doesn't stay in one area for too long. or the review stating that everything is over explained, do that I would say the book does a wonderful job of building the world around the main character I truly enjoyed having all those details presented. in conclusion I say give this book a try and if you don't like it you could always return it it left me wanting the second book now and that is as good as a review as I can give book.

This book is by far the best book I have had the pleasure of Listening to. If you like MMORPG and travelling from another world this book is for you.

If you enjoy the idea of being sent to an RPG world you’re going to love this book. I sped listened to this book in two days just because it was so good. A lot of people have been complaining about one thing or another but I encourage you to give it a listen and form your own opinion because it is a very interesting concept and it was pulled off well. The book is entertaining and engaging the entire way through.

This was an awesome listen, definitely written with love and care for the topic. The story itself is a fantastic heroes journey landing in a cliff hanger begging for more. And the voice actors sold their parts beautifully.

Its like DragonLance meets Ready Player One. Story was good and enjoyable for an old RPGr.

I found this genre interesting to listen to. I doubt I would have finished it if I had read it. But the narration kept me in it. I enjoyed th the story and the reader. I am not really a gamer, but you dont have to be to catch on quickly.

very interesting, got this on sale listening too the preview I didn't expect much. it definitely pulls you in with the story telling of battle. some of the story,namely the diplomatic parts are just not very likely in real life but you get over that quickly. good listen over all
