About this listen

I should’ve known Lincoln Pierce was trouble from the moment I held my knife to his throat.

I’ve been running for most of my life, hiding away in a small town and hoping no one discovers who I truly am. The only problem is that I can never let anyone know the real me. Or at least that was true until my brother moved his best friend onto our shared property.

Now, I’m stuck trying to avoid the nosy billionaire’s probing questions and piercing stares. And it doesn’t help that I almost killed him the first time we met.

Oops.

But when all my carefully crafted lies come crashing down around me, it’s Linc stepping in to shield me. And when it looks like the person hunting me for all those years is back, Linc will do anything to keep me safe.

Only it’s not just my safety at risk. It’s my heart. Because when Linc touches me, I lose all sense. And when I truly get to know the broken billionaire, he’s so much more than a ruthless business tycoon. He’s the man showing me that it’s time to really live.

But I’m not the only one with secrets. Linc has them, too. And when the forces from our pasts emerge from the shadows, it’s with only one goal: to end the new life we’re building together. For good.

Viciously in love with this audiobook!

Viciously in love with this book! Beautiful Exile by Catherine Cowles was a suspenseful and swoony small town romance that completely captured my heart from start to finish. Catherine is truly the queen of plot twists because she gets me every time! Arden and Linc’s journey to HEA was full of heartache, healing, and love, and I adored every single minute of it.

Samantha Brentmoor and Sebastian York perform this audiobook in dual narration. Samantha’s heartfelt performance encompassed Arden’s tragic past, tough girl demeanor, and her budding confidence to go after her dreams and what she truly desired. Sebastian’s deep, gruff voice captured Linc’s devoted, loyal, and protective persona as he fell hard for Arden and made it his mission to keep her safe. Both narrators were spot on portraying Arden and Linc’s instant, meant-to-be chemistry.

Overall, I LOVED this book. If you are a fan of a small town romance with a hot charismatic billionaire, a passionate feisty artist, Sparrow Falls, catching up with Colson clan, Lolli antics, haunted pasts, a loyal-loving dog, gym meet cutes, close proximity, dangerous threats, horseback riding dates, witness protection, shower spice, love declarations, jealous stalkers, a jaw dropping climax, and a HEA that will put a beautiful smile on your face, then you will love Arden and Linc’s story. I always look forward to more from Catherine Cowles.

Hate it when is over! So good

This book was a punch into my soul. It hit all the feels, and I was not ready for it to end! This gave found family a whole new meaning! And I want to be a Colson. It is such beautiful writing. Lincoln is all man; yes, he is a billionaire and a martial arts fighter. He is all protection and kindness. My girl Arden is a brave, intense spitfire who loves hard in her way. This story developed at a perfect pace, and now I'm dying because I have to wait for Trace Story, which I have been dying for since the first time he was introduced. Catherine knows how to write a perfect found family romantic suspense!

A beautiful story!

Arden’s story started with a gut-wrenching prologue. If you’ve read the previous books in this series you know she’s skittish around people and now we know why. Then enter Linc, who’s all up in her space with all his billionaire charm (or not!) and we got these two MCs clashing with lots of sexual tension. I love the Colsons and their protectiveness toward each other. Their group chat is funny too. And not to forget Lolli being Lolli was so hilarious. Also, for once I actually figured out mid way who the bad guy was!

Sebastian York is the perfect Linc! His voice makes me smile. I love Samantha Brentmoor’s voice too. Her male voice is great!

unbelievable twist 😳

I loved this story! I love this series! I have read all of them so far. I went into this one TRYING not to guess who the bad guy was because I'm always wrong..hahaha BUT i did have a short list. Low and behold I WAS SOOO WRONG! 🤣 Catherine Cowles has a way with keeping you on your toes with who the bad guys are in her books.
Arden and Lincs' connection was so good from the beginning! When things finally exploded between them, it was 🔥🥵. Sebastian York and Samantha Brentmor did amazing as the voices of Linc and Arden. I think Sebastian was a PERFECT choice for Linc. he would be who i would have picked too.
That little Easter egg at the very end of the audio book had me 😲🤩

My new favorite from Catherine

I swear Catherine's writing just keeps getting better and better. I loved every single thing about this book. From the narrators who did a phenomenal job at bringing this story to life, to all the characters; especially Brutus (I'm a sucker for animals in books). Samantha Brentmoor and Sebastian York were the perfect people to voice these characters. I also love a series with such a strong family bond. We get to see all the characters, from past stories to the future ones.

Arden and Linc were amazing characters, and I loved discovering their story. Arden has been hiding what she went through for a very long time. She just wanted to live a normal life with her new, found family. Slowly, it seems her lies she has been keeping is about to come to light and she isn't sure how to handle the potential fallout.

Lincoln was enamored with Arden from the moment she held a knife to his throat. He knew right then that she was something special. As he gets to know her better, he falls even harder. But he knows she is keeping something from him. But he is willing to protect her at all costs. Lincoln wants to leave his life behind because he never wants to turn out like his father, but his sister needs him. He won't leave her behind. Lincoln and Arden have no idea how deeply entwined their lives are.

I was able to figure out a couple of the twists in this book, but Catherine was still able to surprise me with s0me aspects of this story as well. Each book that Catherine writes next ends up being my favorite...so for right now my favorite is Beautiful Exile.

Catherine just never misses. Absolute PERFECTION!

Beautiful Exile is an absolute MUST READ & LISTEN! I was hooked from the start. I’m beyond obsessed with Lincoln and Arden. They’re amazing together, two broken people trying to escape their pasts, holding tightly onto the secrets they each have. They both find peace, comfort, and healing in each other. Pure perfection.

Also… the SUSPENSE in this one. Catherine just never misses. Her storytelling is unmatched, and I truly cannot get enough. She’s in a league of her own!

Sebastian York and Samantha Brentmoor absolutely crushed this narration, bringing Linc and Arden's story to life. They were the perfect pairing for this one!

Loved Linc and Arden!!!

Sparrow falls book 4 Beautiful Exile, is the story of Linc and Arden. I'm not at all surprised that I loved every second of this book. I love anything that Catherine touches, she is magic. Arden's parents were taken from her when she was a young girl, Linc's mother was also taken from him and his sister. This book is so beautiful and emotional. He falls first and it is all over for him from there. Arden learns to trust again and soon they realized that there lives have been connected a long time ago only neither one of them knew how. This small town, romance suspense will leave you loving every page and wanting more.

The Narrators: Sebastian York and Samantha Brentmoor were perfection. This was the perfect pairing to bring Linc and Arden to life.

obsessed

OMG I love this book and just hearing it with Sebastian York and Samantha Brentmoor made me love it even more!

I’m in love with this series and when I found out we were getting Arden story in this book I really couldn’t wait to dive into her life! ⁣
🔹⁣
Arden has seen such tragedy at a young age and we see how it has affected her as an adult. I love how strong Arden’s character is and how she pours all her energy into her art. Linc is her brother’s boss who might look like her has everything but is struggling with the man his father is. ⁣
🔹⁣
I loved seeing Linc let Arden move at her own pace and didn’t push her. Arden’s relationship with Brutus and her horses was just the sweetest! ⁣
🔹⁣
This book took me through so many emotions and of course it ended up being someone that I wasn’t thinking about! You don’t want to miss out on this series because it is incredible!

Loved!

Linc and Arden…I love them.

Catherine Cowles has delivered another small town, romantic suspense masterpiece that had the right mix of feels, passion, humor and mystery. I didn’t want to put it down.

The chemistry between Arden and Lincoln radiated off the page. Their genuine connection was built on mutual respect, strong communication and attraction. Out of all these Sparrow Falls couples, these two I believe are the most secure. From the very beginning, I knew Arden was going to be my favorite heroine in the series. Her strength after all she went through as a child is unmatched. And Lincoln, swoony, protective, billionaire who is also a little damaged, I mean, of course I was going to fall head over heels for him. He was dream material. The fact that he fell first and so hard only made me love him more.

It wouldn’t be a Catherine Cowles book if it didn’t have at least one twist that completely turned me upside down. While I did predict some of the parts, Catherine does a great job redirecting the reader; keeping you on the edge of your seat.

I really loved this book and especially this couple. If you love small town, romantic suspense, brother’s best friend, billionaire romances, add this to your tbr asap.

The narration was superb. Sebastian York as Lincoln and Samantha Brentmoor as Arden. I couldn’t have asked for a better pairing. They did the characters justice and really brought the story to life.
