Behemoth's story

Francis "Stitch" Stein's childhood was filled with horrific abuse and he has the physical scars to prove it. He is now a firefighter and a nomad in the Grimm Wolves MC; he also has a special power, he's able to read people's thoughts. When Damien who is on a field trip to his firehouse befriends him, Stitch realizes the little boy has a variation of the same power he has.

Meeting Damien's mom Grace has Stitch longing for something he never expected to find, someone who looks beyond his scars. Grace is cautious getting involved with another MC member due to Damien's father being part of a more ruthless MC but the more time they spend together, she realizes he has a big, caring heart. Will her past prevent them from getting their HEA.

Terrific Story & Narration🎧Intriguing & Heartfelt!

I enjoyed this book immensely, the story is well written with original storylines that are both interesting and intriguing. D.M. Earl is a new to me author and I am impressed with her creative mind and am looking forward to checking out more of her work. This is not an average or ordinary MC Romance novel, it is so much more. This book is Francis M. Stein and Grace Sinclair’s story, Francis is a member of the Grimm Wolves MC, he is a nomad with no ties to a chapter, his road name is Stitch, he is also a fireman. Francis did not have an easy childhood, his mother was abusive and he was left with scars, his first sense of family was with the members of the MC, his second with the members of the Fire Department. He also has special powers, he could read minds and feel what others are feeling. Grace Sinclair is a nurse and mother of a nine year old son, Damien. Damien met Francis while on a tour of the firehouse, most kids were afraid of him because of his scars but not Damien, he was drawn to him from the moment he saw him. Damian had his own scars, he was also gifted with special powers, similar to those of Frances and as time goes on they can share their thoughts with each other without speaking a word. Fate brings Damien’s mother Grace into Frances’ life but she has history with another MC club and wants nothing to do with another one. But the chemistry between them is too strong to deny. This is a great start to a new series, a lot goes on in this book, the story is cleverly plotted and there is never a dull moment. In addition to Francis and Grace’s romance, her past relationship causes drama with a rival MC as well as some suspense, there is also an ongoing storyline with the Grimm Wolves MC which will continue on in the next book. It was tough to hear both their pasts, you can not help but feel for them, especially Francis. But it looks like he found his saving Grace. D.M Earl, thank you for this terrific story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the narration, Gunnar Qualen and Jenna St. Claire are terrific narrators and voice artists. They did a great job bringing the characters to life, giving each their own voice and personality. Their portrayal of the characters was spot on, they projected all the characters emotions into their performance as well as the drama of the story. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen🎧

MC with heart

Francis and Grace were not looking for each other but fate had other ideas. Damian has struggled with people's reactions of him due to the burns he suffered as a child. When he stumbles on Francis at the fire hall you would never know that he has many scars for everyone to see. They form an instant bond.
When Grace finds out Francis is in a Motorcycle Club she immediately tries to pull away. Been there done that and it didn't turn out too well for her. Francis doesn't take no for an answer though. He does everything he can to show her they are different.
Will she let him in? Could they have found the best love?

Fabulous Series Start!

Francis “Stitch” Stein had a horrific upbringing. Physically abused, and raised to believe he had no value, he grew into a solitary loner. Now he simply exists, scarred, straddling two worlds, one as a firefighter, the other as a nomad member of motorcycle club. Then one day he meets a very special child named Damien who accepts him without question. One thing leads to another and when he meets Damien’s single mother Grace, his world is forever changed. I absolutely fell in love with these two and with their story. I could not stop listening. Filled with heat and low on angst, this beautiful, fantastically narrated story lays the perfect foundation for what promises to be an outstanding series. Several well defined, delightfully flawed characters are introduced that I look forward to hearing all about in future books. Please, keep them coming!

Behemoth

This is my first book by D. M. Earl. Francis and Grace have an instant attraction to one another but there are extenuating circumstances that cause them to consider whether pursuing a relationship is feasible. It dumbfounded me that someone could treat anyone, let alone a child, in such a depraved manner! It just goes on to show how resilient human beings are!! Gunnar Qualen and Jenna St. Claire are both new narrators to me. Gunnar’s voice was very deep and perfectly fit my idea of what a biker sounds like but he was not expressive enough at times. Jenna also had a soothing voice indicative of a nurturing and compassionate nature. Overall this was a good experience.

Love this MC group

This MC group is amazing. Shows that the typical stereotype is not always the way. I love how this book shows love comes in all shapes and sizes, diff levels of beauty and brains. The twist and turns in this book kept you guessing who what when where why. Can’t wait to start book 2

Francis and his Saving Grace

An interesting twist to a Frankenstein story. MC/firefighter finds his Saving Grace. its not without
its danger. secrets, another MC club is after them. Could there be betrayal in their group?
Gunnar Qualen and Jenna St. Claire narration is good. Gunnar gravelly voice us perfect for Francis. Jenna brings the sweetness to Grace.

A little bit of a different MC

Grace and Francis fit together perfectly and make each other's lives better. I really wish I had enjoyed this book more, but I think it just wasn't for me. I wish there would have been a little more drama to engage me more in the story.

Excellent start to new series!

This is my first book from this author but definitely not my last.
I really like that the characters back stories are included. The narration was just ok IMO.
Will give the next book in the series a try. I thought the storyline was different and I really enjoyed that.
