Publisher's summary

An edgy book for teens that spans the gap between YA and adult fiction.

Life after high-school is tough enough without having to go 15 rounds with your inner demon. Val Shapiro is just your ordinary, part-demon, teenaged vampire hunter with a Texas drawl. And a pet hellhound named Fang. Soon enough she finds herself deep in the underbelly of the city, discovering the secrets of the Demon Underground and fighting to save those she loves. Whether they love her back or not.

A Surprise Turn Around

What was one of the most memorable moments of Bite Me?

Meeting her hellhound/demon dog

Which character – as performed by Mare Trevathan – was your favorite?

Fang

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Vel being homeless for a short time and not knowing what to do.

Any additional comments?

Fang really got the story going for me. I was about to give up on the book when Fang pulled me back in. Plus the narrator's voice to me didn't fit the young character. The narrator sounded much older then what Vel should've sounded in my opinion. Love that dog hate that her parents did Vel the way they did her.

Any additional comments?

this is a verry good book that captures the middle ground between teen and adult. it is funny, witty and has enough action to keep you interested. the charactor really grows in to her own and i can not wait to read the next one.

demons vampires oh my

This was a fun fantasy romp. Who is really evil, or what really makes on evil.
Anyway Mare Trevathan did an outstanding job of narration with really good voice and dialectic range.
I have already purchased the next three in this series.
