About this listen

Return to the zombie apocalypse wasteland that is the Rot & Ruin in this short story collection from Jonathan Maberry.

Benny Imura's zombie-infested adventures are well-chronicled in the gripping novels Rot & Ruin, Dust & Decay, Flesh & Bone, and Fire & Ash. But what else was happening while he was on his quest? Who were the others navigating the ravaged landscape full of zombies?

Bits & Pieces fills in the gaps about what we know about First Night, surviving the plague, and traveling the land of Rot & Ruin. Eleven all-new short stories from Nix's journal and 11 previously published stories, including "Dead & Gone" and "Tooth & Nail", are now all together.

Bits & Pieces was a great listen!

Jonathan Mayberry + Ray Porter are phenomenal.
Forward by Peter Clines was a very nice opening.
I love all three of these gentlemens work.
I really enjoyed the jumping around in time between the different stories. I cannot fathom why I have not heard of a Joe Ledger movie. Honestly.
I'll be looking for more Bits & Pieces from Mayberry now.

missing peices.

Filling in those missing gaps and stories we never got to be part of in the books. Maberry and Porter are a great team love hearing their work.

Lots of interesting stories, get to see some side characters from other Maberry books pop up in the zombie apocalypse.

I had someone tell me years ago this wasn't worth listening to, they were absolutely wrong. Had some really good short stories, some of the most heart breaking stories too from First Night and throughout the apocalypse, especially the Christmas one and the one with the twins.

Finally some background for the characters.

I find myself debating with my son if this book should have been first or the book is in correct order. No disrespect to Brian's narration in the previous books but I feel Dana and Ray bring more emotion to this book. I found myself many times with clenched fists.

Rounding out some corners!!!!!

The first half of the book clears up some of the back stories for the previous books, but the second half is money!!! I found myself feeling a little melancholy near the end. Not going to spoil things. The grandchildren Baskerville, Grim, and Ghoulie. I am sure there are two parents who are very proud of their family. I can only hope they went out the right way.

As always and with great sincerity, I want to thank Ray Porter and Jonathan Maberry. One hell of a tag team.

Jonathan Maberry writes fantast8c short stories

I was so happy to see all these short stories tying his books together! Great extra backstories of characters I loved in some of his other stories! I need more of the cosplay girl!

Jonathan and Ray and Joe, Oh My!

I never knew anything about Benny Immura series and I hadn't listened to the Joe Ledger series for such a long time and I've missed most of the books. But this was so fun and so good and I enjoyed every minute of it and even though there were all short stories, it felt totally cohesive.
I didn't even need to know who all the characters were because I knew the zombie world from the Ledger series.
Anyway, Ray Porter is absolutely amazing with his perfect narration including excellent female voices. He's another one of those narrators with whom one could have phone sex with. Just sayin'....
