About this listen

Will she forgive him for his sins, or is their bond destined to fracture before it’s even forged?

Kora

Everything changed when the vampires arrived.

I’m starving, alone in a dark cave, and grieving those who I lost.

But I’m not giving up just yet. I’m a fighter, a survivor. A little fear won’t get in my way.

A vampire will, though. And he chooses the worst time to show himself.

Only, he doesn’t want blood...he wants something even more sacred. Something I’m not willing to give away.

ALDEON

I am dhampir, and I’ve been lost to the bloodlust, like many of my people.

Yet I awaken from the haze only to find myself in a strange world, drinking from even stranger beings.

When I catch her scent, everything changes. The Calling awakens deep within, and I know she is my mate. My fated.

But she is different. She is human, native to this land, and in dire trouble. A mysterious enemy leads a horde of maddened dhampirs straight to her dwelling, ready to drink her dry.

It is my duty to protect her. I’ll fight to the death if I must.

And when the time is right, I will claim her as mine.

Adult fans of Stephenie Meyer and Richelle Mead will love this new vampire paranormal romance. If you enjoy enemies to lovers, fated mates, telepathic vampires, blood bonds, and a romance so hot you have to stuff your face in the freezer to recoup, then you’re in the right place.

Entertaining!

This is the first book in the SoulBlood series, a paranormal romance. Kora and Aldeon's story is fast-paced, action packed, sexy, and captivating. The world building is interesting, and intriguing. This is a great enemies to lovers, and fated mates romance. Looking forward to listening to Blood after Dawn, the next book in the series, to know what happens next. Lynn Devereux did an excellent job with the narration. She has a beautiful voice, very pleasant to listen to. I enjoyed it.

Incredible

Kora is the only survivor of the vampire attack and because of that she now lives in a cave and only comes out during daylight for supplies. Until one day she attacked by a rabid vampire only to have it stopped by Aldeon who is not only a vampire but is determined to protected her at all cost. He declared Kora as his mate. Of course Kora wants nothing to do with him. So Aldeon has his work cut out for him to protect and show her she can trust him.

Lynn Devereux does an incredible job bring the characters to life. The way she narrators Blood at Dusk makes you feel like what each of the characters feels and it’s remarkable. Brenna Harlow does an amazing job on the book and the characters. You can’t help but fall for Aldeon. I hope you will a least give it a listen; you won’t be disappointed.

A Gripping & Fascinating PNR! Fantastic Narration🎧

This is my first book written by Brenna Harlow, so I was not sure what to expect, I went in knowing the blurb sounded intriguing and that she cast a fabulous narrator to bring her story and characters to life. It only took me a few minutes to know I was going to enjoy it, the author created an imaginative story with interesting storylines that grabbed my attention immediately and captivated it the entire book. There is great world building and character development, the characters are easy to relate to and connect with. I did not read the prequel, but I had no problem jumping in and finding that Earth is in a dystopian state after the invasion of paranormal vampiric beings from another planet; the Dhampirs landed on earth and went mad for blood, attacking humans and drinking all their blood. This book begins with Kora, a sole survivor living by herself in a cave hiding away from the vampiric monsters. She needs to go to a nearby town to raid the abandoned business for supplies. Aldeon, a Dhampir, who is no longer mad from the bloodlust. He picks up Kora’s scent and knows immediately that she is his mate, but she hates his kind who killed her family and friends and life as she knew it, can she get past that and see he is not like that anymore, that he did not have control of what he was doing when his mind was mad with bloodlust. He starts off small to win her trust in him and works his way into her heart. The danger increases for Kora, a live human is a rare commodity, Aldeon vows to protect her from those mad with the bloodlust but can he if he is outnumbered. There is never a dull moment in this is a cleverly plotted fantasy novel, the story moves quickly and there is plenty of drama, some angst, action, thrilling and suspenseful moments, heartfelt and emotional moments and a hot romance. Brenna Harlow, thank you for this fantastic novel, I hope the rest of the series comes to audio soon.

🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Lynn Devereux is a talented narrator and versatile voice artist. She performs the voices for all the characters, does a great job with both the male and female roles, gives each their own distinct voice, making it easy to follow along and tell who is who. She has a complete understanding of the characters she portrayed and sounds believable in every role she plays. You could hear how much heart he put into her work as she captures the character’s emotions and projects them into her performance. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fabulous listen.

Love at First Sight 💓

As the narrator, Lynn Devereux, brilliantly tells the story by author, Brenna Harlow, where "dhampires" (a new name for vampires) suddenly appear from another place with a maddening bloodlust they cannot control. This new apocalypse world reminds me of "The Walking Dead" except the dead are not rotting corpses, but instead, powerful, crazed, blood thirsty vampires. Harlow's imagination is off the charts and her characters are deliciously addictive.
The more I listened along, the more I craved this sizzling sexy, heartfelt story. The main characters: Kora--a human who is all alone, trying to survive in this world full of deadly creatures. Aldeon--a sexy, alluring dhampire (BTW, I want one of my own) who has healed from this unknown vampire virus, finds himself drawn to Kora, a.k.a his "fated mate."
Now, Aldeon must convince Kora he is not going to eat her, but instead, protect her. Plus, he wants to bond with her. YES!!! ❤
I fell in love with this story. The more I listened, the more I craved. I can't wait for the the next audiobook to come out, hence it left with a cliffhanger.
If you're a lover of paranormal romance, fantasy, vampires, suspense, thrillers, action, drama, horror, or just damn good writing, this is the one for you. BRAVO! 👏 BTW... I not only ordered this in paperback, but I ordered all Harlow's other novels.

Blood at Dusk

This is the first book of The Soul Blood series. I love the take on dampiers Brenna Harlow has created. They have come from a different world. The blood lost turns them into horrible beasts killing anything that moved. Kora is one of the last living humans left. Aldeon has finally awoken from his blood lust. He catches the scent of Kora. As he gets closer to her he realizes that she is is Mate. Now he just has to convince her that he is not going to kill her. Can't wait for the next book. Lynn Devereux did an amazing job narrating this book.

Blood at Dusk

Very enjoyable! I absolutely love the take on the origin of Damphir/Vampire. Narration was great, and I have never heard a line recited more creepy than the "mantra" of the crazy damphir. You'll know it when hear it, and it is GOOD. Excellent job on that! Great start to a series, eager to read the next!
