Publisher's summary

Julian Hutchinson walked away from it all: his job, his friends, and her. As Julian drives out west, he randomly stops at a roadside tavern and runs into some people from his past.

Lyssa Lakin helps her father around the tavern as she raises her 15-year-old daughter, Lorna. When Julian walks into the bar, Lyssa’s past crush on him hits full force, but even she can tell that he is far from ready to be involved with anyone.

As Julian and Lyssa grow their friendship, their past romance is rekindled. When Julian’s past comes back to haunt him and an old enemy shows up in town, Julian knows a showdown is imminent.

Will Julian be able to deal with his past and his enemy without destroying the new life he has created?

The gang is back for one final book where lines are drawn and quickly crossed, and Julian and Kristin will have to work together one last time to save people that they care about.

Great Read

Blue Bloods Final Destiny (My Blood Runs Blue #5) was a great read by Stacy Eaton. Julia walked away from his job, his friends, and Kristin. He drives west and finds himself at a roadside tavern. He runs into people he knows from his past. Lyssa is raising her 15-year old daughter while helping her father at the tavern. Lyssa and Julian have a past and she is still attracted to him. As their friendship grows, their past romance is rekindled. But Julian's past and what he's left behind comes back to ruin everything. I really enjoyed reading Julian and Lyssa's story and can't wait to read more by Stacy Eaton.

final destiny was just what i was waiting for....

We get so much more about Julian. He also finds out that he is not alone in any of this life, conflict, confusion, nothing. We meet a new character or two and we get to see many of the old characters. We find that life has a funny way of coming back around on itself. There was something different with this installment of the series. I was happy to experience it. Lyssa was smart and pretty. She knew that laying eyes on the man she had not seen in years would be a blessing and maybe a curse to him. Julian was not ready for what Lyssa had to offer him outside of a friendship.

I very much enjoy Stacy Eaton's works. Alex Black is bringing to life the voices of each character with clarity. Thank again to you both for the vivid imagery created by Alex's voice and Stacy's words.

Fitting Conclusion

What an ending! Why do bad things keep happening to Kristin? The whole gang is involved to solve the missing pieces of Kristin and Angelina's history. Julian finally finds his HEA. I absolutely love this series. The characters are dynamic, well evolved and are a family.

Exciting to the very end!

Blue Bloods Final Destiny is action packed, full of heated passion, has thrilling suspense and some of the best characters I have listened to! I love this series, which is so surprising, since I am not a paranormal listener. There is something about these people and their connection that had me completely invested. Julian gets his story, as he left Kristen, his job and his friends. He stops at a tavern, and finds an old acquaintance, Lyssa who happens to be the mother of his evil son. These two have incredible chemistry. But Julian has secrets, and his heart is still a little hung up on Kristen. Will he take the plunge? And danger is lurking for their kind. Will he be able to keep her safe? We also get a peek at Kristen and Trent, and Courtney and Alex, both expecting. Others pop in as well, so we get that continuity and nostalgic feelings. Eaton has woven an intricate web, giving us twists and turns, all leading to an unpredictable ending. I was hooked from the beginning, and loved every minute.

Alex Black concludes the series with his narration. He is the voice of all these characters, and has made their journey exciting and entertaining. I have enjoyed his many voices and look forward to more from him.

great wrap up to the series

This story provided a great conclusion to the series and the perfect jumping off point to the spin off. I loved getting to know Julian better in this book and meeting Lyssa.

I wanted to be made at Kristin for being unable to leave him alone after driving him away...but we do learn more about the bond that still ties them together.

I really enjoyed this series and can’t wait to read the first book of the spin off, Kristin.

Final book in the series

This is the final book in the My Blood Runs Blue series. I have listened to all 5 books and loved each one of them. The characters have become important to me and I have become invested in their stories. Stacy Eaton wrote this final book to give Julian the story he needed and to tie up the story perfectly.

Julian has needed to find himself for a little while now and in Blue Blood Final Destiny he manages to find himself, save Kristin, and reconnect with some of his history. I enjoyed learning more about Julian, seeing him come to terms with some of his past, and figure out what would make him happy in the present and the future.

While I am sad this series is over, I am thrilled that I got listen to Alex Black’s voice read me Stacy Eaton’s words.

The perfect ending

On the last book from this serie we're seeing Julian leaving everything and everyone behind, running away from Kristin and their past together. As Julian drives out west, he randomly stops at a roadside tavern and runs into some people from his past. There he meets Lyssa Lakin his past romance, spending time there together their friendship grows and their romance is being rekindled. However, past always finds a way to catch on you - so Julian's past comes back to haunt him and when an old enemy shows up in town, Julian knows a showdown is imminent.

The audiobook begins with Julian who left the organization he worked for and while he is driving west he is really considering he should just drive into sunrise and end his life. While driving west he stops at a roadside tavern and runs into Lyssa Lakin – a woman he knew from his past, and old flame. While he’s hiding away from everyone his friendship with Lyssa grows more and more day to day until their romance is rekindled and they love each other. While Julian is trying to stay away from everyone he knows, past catches up on him and when an old enemy shows up in town, Julian knows a showdown is imminent.

I’ve got mixed feelings about this audiobook from a lot of points. First, Julian left everyone because Kristin was playing with everyone’s feelings including his. Whenever she needed him he was there not thinking on his feelings that he still loved her as Calista/Kristin, if she would’ve call him he would’ve show no matter what. Second – she’s bonded to Trent and pregnant with him after their rape date (I still consider it a rape since she was sleeping when they “slept” together) and instead of focusing on her pregnancy and Trent the first thing she does when she returns to the police to look over old cases is to somehow track Julian. Pregnant in 7 months she drives where Julian is, just to tell him she misses him and loves him and was worried about him and this is the moment where he goes crazy and is rude against her and tells her he doesn’t want to see her – which I agree, because she really gloats on the fact that Trent, Alex and Julian were all around her, I felt she is so shallow at times and didn’t think on everyone else other than her own interests – the more men the better.

However, in the same time they all share some type of bond with her: Julian from when she was Calista, Alexander from when she was Kristin and Trent is her actual boyfriend/husband so their relationship towards the end of the book is no one other than strong bond of friendship. Lyssa on the other hand was one of the characters that I found very annoying, she took Julian in with a broken heart and broken trust and very hurt and instead of giving him the time to heal after 1 month she was giving ultimatums about if he’s not open up to her they’re over – her father on the other hand was very wise and knew what to tell Lyssa. Lyssa gave me the impression she’s way too jealous and way worst than Kristin.

When the threat comes to town all the characters involved on this audiobook are working together for the last time and everything ends well. Julian remains with Lyssa, Alexander is with someone else and Trent and Kristin are still together soon to be parents. There were things up and down throughout this serie some I loved, some I hated them but overall its a nice serie to listen to because its a different type of paranormal romance and fantasy book with vampires.

The End?

This story of Kristin and the gang focuses mainly on Julian. When Julian left everyone in the previous book he severed all contact and heads out west. In a twist of fate he ends up meeting Damiens mother again. While he is finding happiness trouble finds him and unfortunately that’s when Kristin also finds him. Kristin and her baby are in serious trouble, so everyone comes to find her and put an end to the treat to their race.
Looking forward to the next series Blue Blood Returns.
