Recovering from COVID

I'm an ER nurse. During the pandemic, I felt a level of stress and anxiety I'd never suffered before. COVID killed more than just my patients - it killed who I was as a nurse. Crawling out of the darkness, I realized I needed a change. I moved, changed hospitals, started going back to church, and got a gym membership. But still something was lacking in my soul. Recently, I have started writing again. It turns out that creative writing was the outlet I needed to deal with the stress and anxiety I was carrying. The author does a great job of explaining why visual arts are the catalyst for emotional well-being. This audiobook has been my cheerleader: urging me on in my journey as an author.

I wish I had this audiobook during Covid

As a health care professional, I worked during the whole pandemic, and it was a struggle. I was burnt out and even attempted to quit, but my coworkers convinced me to stay. The strategies shared here, focusing on visual arts, are both innovative and effective. The audiobook is easy to follow, and the techniques are explained clearly. I found the visual arts approach refreshing and therapeutic. Will listen to it again

A must listen for Healthcare-workers!

The audiobook was a joy to listen to! The author was able to structure the topic in a very detailed, easy to understand manner. Workers in the healthcare industry tend to suffer highly from stressful work that is compounded with short staffing and long work hours. The author was able to offer effective ways of dealing with b burnout, anxiety and depression through the use of several art based techniques that were also discussed as a means to alleviate said mental health issues. The part that I liked the most was about the resilient building tools that were included. It did a good job of making people like me that are dealing with these issues feel more seen. So whether you’re a healthcare worker suffering from burnout and stress or a Student that is studying to be one, this is for you. I highly recommend it! Well done!
