About this listen
Can we justify putting our jobs before our family? What happens when we try to rectify it? Is the right solution always the first choice or do we just get the job done? Sometimes what happens to our children says more about us than our kids. When Adrian's father gets a promotion it means moving to a new city and new school, fitting in for Adrian isn't as simple as he thought.

Story
Willow was like any other teenage girl until a fatal car accident left her an orphan with the ability to see ghosts. Relocating to live with her grandparents, she hoped to lay low to survive the rest of high school and maybe figure out the whole "seeing the dead" thing. But with ghosts popping up in the middle of class, Willow was struggling to keep the gossip at bay. No one thinks you're normal when you get caught having a one-sided conversation alone.

From the author of the international best seller The Stone Man, short-listed for Audible UK's Book of the Year Award 2015. Here are the rules. Method: you can't use a gun. You can't use explosives. You can't use poison. It has to be up close and personal. You don't have to worry about leaving evidence; that will be taken care of. Victim: no one suicidal. No one over the age of 65. Great Point Of View
Speaking from experience, kid’s who are bullied usually are silent victims, never hearing from them until it’s too late and something drastic happens. I think this story should be required listening for all kids. Thank you to the author, Robert McDermott, for shedding a little light on this subject! Well done!
The narrator, Kim Bretton, has a very nice voice to listen to! I will keep an eye out for more from her.

A must read
Everyone should read this book young and old. Nowadays there's so much bullying going on to both kids and adults and that needs to stop. If you see something say something. Amazing book and amazing narration

What a great short story.
Maybe this book should be in every school library. I would hope some school kids would look in the mirror after they have completed the book and saw themselves staring back at themselves. I recommend this book to all. Now for the obligatory: "I was given this free review copy audio-book at my request and have voluntarily left this review." "I was voluntarily provided this review copy audio-book at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator.”

Bullied
For a short story this book sure packed a punch.
The words were spoken,,,with grace.
I really hate bullies, the hurt kids so much
These kids ( the bullies) do not know how much damage they do,,,,a life time of damage, some times it stays with us to adults hood,,,or forever.
Bullies are so cruel.hurtful and hateful.
Bullies make fell lost,we doubt our self worth.
Bullies make us think we're unworthy
Some times people bullies persons want to commit suicide,(but that's not the answer.)

A great way to open a dialogue
Overall I liked this book, the audio performance was spot on for the story tone and message. Please be advised that bullying, and the side effects from such, will be addressed in this book and may possibly trigger certain individuals. However, the matter is important and this book discusses it in a realistic manner and is a great way to open a dialogue. I did not have a print or eBook copy to compare the performance to, so am unable to comment on any deviations that there may or may not be from the written version.
Story content review:
Adrian, a secondary school student, is forced to get used to a new school when his father gets a promotion at work and they move to the city. As the story progresses multiple people make the transition difficult, help comes from an unexpected source, and learning to find his voice will be the ultimate lesson to learn with the move. Robert McDermott handles this dark and sticky topic with understanding and tact.
I received a free audio copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.

Really enjoyed listening
This was a great short story. It’s very well written and I really felt emotional for Adrian. The narrator did a great job pulling you into the story and relaying Adrian’s emotions. I listened to this story in one sitting. It makes you really feel for those children or others who have to go through bullying. I highly recommend listening to this.

Reality....
This is a reality kick in the gut. VERY well written about a kid being bullied and how he deals with it. I'll let everyone know about this to read/listen to with your kids. Maybe it'll help with communication between parents and kids.

Good read
Bullied, my first read/listen from author Robert McDermott. I don't restrict myself to a particular genre. I'm a sucker for anything with memorable characters! Narrator Kim Bretton’s narration added to the book’s enjoyment. I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
