Publisher's summary

Burn. Sloane. I’m not safe. I haven’t been safe for a while now. I ran to Zeth for protection, but Zeth is in danger himself. This is the closest I’ve come to finding my sister in two years. I can’t back down now. This is just another breezy weekend in the Californian desert. What could possibly go wrong in the next 48 hours?

Fallen. Sloane’s life was supposed to get better when she found Alexis. Easier. Happier. Yet now she knows her sister is safe, nothing’s gotten easier. And ‘normal’ is falling for a man who might never be able to feel the same way.

Zeth’s goal - the one single woman on the face of the planet he’s truly ever wanted - can be obtained only by fixing things instead of destroying them.

How can he adjust a lifetime of violence in order to make her his once and for all? And how can he make sure that she is safe? The first part is going to take time. But the second part... The second part is easy. He must kill Charlie Holsan.

Twists and Turns

I liked the twists of the story line.
I think the narrator for the girl part did ok, but I’d of liked it better if it was like Teddy Hamilton or Aiden Snow.

Awesome series!

I love this series! Action..story...plot all of it is great. The icing on the cake is the narrators are superb. I would love to hear anything read by them...but especially Jared Zeus. His voice is so completely distinguished between characters you could have convinced me several men were narrating (I actually checked who was narrating to verify this was one guy!) and I would have believed you. I would love to check out other books with him but audible doesn't have any...bummer...needless to say this series is totally consuming and the narrators only make it all the more addicting. In my opinion making this series a slam dunk...home run...or maybe a touch down. You get the point! Go enjoy, forget reality for awhile; I did and it was totally worth the credit!!!

He's definitely a 🚩, but red is my fav color 🥰

Zeth is a dangerous guy, very dangerous.
And just like Sloane, I am drawn to this danger

The first book opens with Sloane negotiating with a shady investigator for information about her kidnapped sister (Alexis). Sloan has to put her body at the mercy of a stranger, in a dark hotel room.

Sloane was perceived by me as a strong, loyal woman, one who is willing to go through the fires of hell for those she loves, even if she has to sell her body in the process.
Zeth is a dangerous man, all darkness, the big bad evil wolf, radiating arrogance and yet also a great fear.
The complete opposite of Sloane, but that doesn't stop him from marking her, doesn't stop the longing and the magnetic attraction between them grow, the purity, the slaughter and the desire to devour every part of her and make her his own.

O-M-G! Those scenes made my mouth dry and the heat rise🥵🔥
What is certain is that after reading these books I will never forget them, a very dark and spicy series, stimulating, fascinating and unsettling.
If it wasn't clear, I highly recommend ❤‍🔥❤‍🔥❤‍🔥
One of the best dark series I've read!
Read and join the mesmerizing dance of tension and darkness, lend a hand to the wolf, don't be afraid to prepare your body because it is a dance you will never forget...

It gets Better and Better!

I am still loving the world of Z and Sloane. I loved the side characters as well. The addiction is still there to continue the story. These two are so hot and steamy. Sloane is such a strong heroine which I love. Zeth is the Alpha of all alphas. He is fast becoming my top BBF. The narrators continue to do amazing work. On to the next in the series!

A Must Buy

If you've read the first two books in this series then you're going to love this continuation of the series. Zeth and Sloane are one of my favorite couples, although they still don't want to admit that they are in a relationship, lol. I can't wait to listen to the last two books in this series.

Good, but losing its edge in 3 and 4

I’m not sure where this series is going, but I started wishing it would just get there mid-way through book 3.

Noel is very hard to like at points and her behavior often makes no sense. For example, she wants to find her sister so badly that she loses her virginity for info, but when she finally is where her sister is she barely seems focused on anything more than Zeb and doesn’t do anything to try to see her sister for days.

The aftermath of finding her sister was also anticlimactic. There’s no effort to capitalize on what was set up to be the monumental event.

Now at end of book 4, I am ready for something more than the adding of more random, mysterious clues.

The narration is painfully slow. I had it at x1.3 at one point, and x1.2 the rest of the time.

Author and editor need to learn hospital Protocols

This would have been a good book if it weren't for the rampant medical and hospital-related errors regarding processes and procedures. Examples: spoiler alerts ahead, you cannot use vodka to sterilize medical equipment - that ER doc would have requested medical grade alcohol from a bathroom or First Aid Kit. If someone is a medical professional - especially an ER doc - transporting a critical surgical patient to a hospital, that doc would call ahead to the ER just like paramedics do so the ER Trauma Bay and/or Operating Room could be readied and the appropriate on-call physicians called in. Even at a Level I Trauma Center a Urologist certified in trauma surgery would likely be on call and have 30-min or an hour to arrive. Also, a paramedic would not give mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. And, the ER professionals would already have been gloved, masked, gowned and likely donned face shields if a patient presented squirting blood. And the infection prevention team and Infectious Diseases physician would consult and with that many questions, the local Health Dept. (CDC) would be contacted too. The above are just basic protocols any paramedic or hospital administrator or caregiver would know.
Enjoy this author regardless.
