About this listen
Ghost stories abound in the lowcountry, and Detective Andy Winslow is about to find himself in the center of one. Andy Winslow grew up hearing campfire tales of the Scarecrow; a monster that stalked the lowcountry's rural areas, killing people with a vengeance. Now, with farmers and their families around Charleston being murdered in record numbers, people start talking about the Scarecrow again.
Andy doesn't believe in ghost stories, though. He knows that the sort of monster behind this is of the decidedly human variety, and it's his job to find them. But when someone very close to Andy gets targeted by the killer, Andy just might find that those stories just might be the only way to save them...and himself. For fans of Wayne Stinnett, Dawn Lee McKenna, and Matt Lincoln, Check out book three in the exhilarating Lowcountry Crimes series!

Two little girls stand with their heads bowed in my living room. I’m told they’re my granddaughters. Daisy is nine, and Alice seven. Daisy is the spitting image of her mother. This is the first time I’ve met them since my daughter and I fell out after she married that waste of space, Vince. They’ve come to live with me because their mother — my daughter — was murdered. In her own home while they slept close by. I think Vince killed her. But the police can’t prove it. I’ve always known he was no good. He treated my daughter like dirt. I said he’d cheat on her — but she wouldn’t listen.

Twists!
I’ve been invested in this series from the very beginning. Each book brings a new mystery, new cases and more danger for Andy. If you’re looking for suspense and a book that will keep you on guessing then you’re going to want to get this one. I really would love to see Andy get a HEA but he’s had a hard time getting away from the demons in his family. A thrilling ride Mark Stone wrote and Eric Fox narrated us thorough. I have to say I really enjoy the way you never know what is going to happen!

A Perfect Halloween listen!
I loved this one that has a little scary twist in it. Scarecrows are like clowns…they freak me out! The mystery in here is one that I could not figure out until the elimination almost ended. I really thought I had it early on but NOPE! This action packed story has twists and turns that are entertaining. How this author comes up with this just stupefies me. The characters are well done and likable. Andy and Oyster are fun and have quite an interesting friendship. We even to see a few “special guests” which was great!!
I listened to this on audio. Eric Fox does a great job narrating this one. He was pleasant to listen to and easy to understand. I look forward to more in this series!

Andy = a magnet for serial killers
This third book in the Lowcountry Crimes police thriller series was quite entertaining and action-packed. The angst level is medium to high, and there is some violence and a little gore. By the end, all the plot threads had been tied up, but the plot was so preposterous that the whole audiobook was slightly comical rather than emotional. I really like the main character Andy and the minor characters such as Oyster and Lucky Joe. I love the setting in Charleston, SC, and the geographic details were accurate this time.
If you want a strictly realistic cop procedural, this is not it. Of course Andy doesn’t call for back-up at key times or tell his police department where he is going. Also, the sheer number of car collisions with which Andy gets involved is ridiculously high in this series. Still, for people who want an outlandish serial killer thriller with a likeable detective, this fits the bill. The narrator Eric Fox elevates the entertainment value with his warm gravelly voice, distinctive character voices, and very good comic timing.
I requested and received a free audio copy via the publisher, and I voluntarily wrote this honest review. #TheFlockVIPReviewTeam #NorthernLakeAudio

Crazy! Convoluted crimes are revealed
Crazy! Convoluted crimes are revealed. The stories in this series drag me in and keep me captivated. Normally a romantic suspense reader, it is slightly surprising to me, but definitely speaks of the authors ability to weave a tale, that the story grips me as well as it does given past results with non-romance stories. I suspected some revelations, but others were major twists for me. Danger and suspense are mixed in with the investigation aspects to keep the story flowing. Wonder what case isnext for Andy? Narrator helped bring the story to life.

Ghost Stories and Murder!
This series is great! I love detective Andy, but you have to feel for him with everything that has happened to him before, and now. This was an intriguing mystery with lots of twists and it wasn’t too easy to figure out until the story was almost over. If you love ghost story mysteries and scary scarecrows, this book is for you! I can’t wait to listen to the next book! Eric Fox did a great job with narration. His voice was perfect for each character and I really enjoyed listening to his voice.

Had me on edge!
I am enjoying these books by Mark Stone. This is the third book in this series and it's a great standalone! We get to see Lucky John again! Andy is an easy to like character. This storyline was suspenseful, heartbreaking, and had me guessing to the end. I was completely invested in the characters once again. I look forward to the next book in this series!
Eric Fox is an excellent narrator. He voices both male and female characters perfectly. He gave us an emotional performance that it rolled like a movie in my head. Quickly becoming a favorite narrator of mine.

Excellent Series!
This is the third book in the Lowcountry Crimes Series, a murder mystery. This is another great addition to the series. I loved to follow Andy Winslow, a Detective, in this entertaining investigation. I liked the Halloween vibes in this story. The story is filled with intrigue, danger, action, and twists and turns. Eric Fox did a great job bringing this story to life. Looking forward to listening to Carolina Savior, the next book in the series. #PFPAudio
